4 days in Gozo. One evening we took the hotel bus to San Lawrenz for a Sunday evening fiesta. One afternoon we took the bus to Victoria and watched the sunset from the Citadel. Another day we hired a car from Avis down the road and enjoyed stopping at the salt pans, at some great snorkel spots, visited Ta’Pina church, had lunch at Xlendi and then sunset spots at opposite end of island. Final day we took the ferry to Comino and swam in the pretty (but busy) Blue lagoon. Swam across to the mini Comino and through some caves which was fun. We were put into a room that had no telephone working and...
We were put into a room that had no telephone working and some distance from reception. When we asked to change rooms it wasn't a problem other than we were put into a smaller room, the toilet flush came away from the wall. The Sauna which was important to us was in the spa which closed at 6pm. So even at 5pm it would not be practical to use it if the sauna is not already on as you would have to wait for it to get to a high temperature. A quiet village to walk around - head for the traditional back streets with their pretty frontages. The village was well served by several bus routes linking to all parts of the island. We ate at two restaurants near the main church, both of which had an extensive menu at reasonable prices. lovely church close by and celebrations of fireworks, cannons, music, performers over a few nights (Late August), not many places to eat, but more places near the ferry, which were really nice and some cheaper places if with family. Local supermarket and collect your plastic and you can recycle and get 10c per items, so adds up over the course of stay. Rexy's was very nice and great price, as was Bull, had another part to name, can't remember it now and the trailer on the harbour front has seating by the sea and great menu and prices.Guest review byJustineUnited Kingdom - 10.0

The Grand Hotel at Mgarr is a short walk up from the ferry terminal. Very easy to find as you can see it from the harbour. If you don’t want to eat at the hotel there are several little bistros going down to the harbour. I would particularly recommend Sammy’s for quality and value.Guest review byLindaUnited Kingdom
