The location was nice across the road from a quiet beach. It had safe secure parking if you rent a car. It was kept so clean with cleaning ladies every day or two who did a fabulous job. All the staff were very friendly and accomadating and can help you with anything. WiFi was good and worked the whole time we were there. Would recommend this as a great base for exploring the island and keeping costs low by cooking yourself. It's possible to stay their without a car as there's public transport but a car would be better. Not much restaurants nearby you need to walk 20-30 mins for them but that's ok as it's a nice safe walk.

The location was spectacular (Trou aux Biches is by far the best beach we have seen on the island). The dinner was gourmet-style (ala carte, not buffet which was much better in terms of environment, sustainability) The glass boat tour the hotel offered for free was lovely. The staff was very helpful, friendly. ps: We had taken a day tour to south by a taxi. The taxi driver was a 25 years old math masters student with amazing manners. We were treated like a kings. Every member of the staff was so nice and helpfull and there was always a smile on their faces. We loved the food especially those desserts ať the end of the meal. Room was nice and clean and the view for it was amazing. We just love it all. One of the best hotels we've ever been.

    Everybody as a different opinion ,but I am a seasoned...

    Everybody as a different opinion ,but I am a seasoned traveller ,my honest opinion is.you can find cheap accommodation which is the main objective for a budget traveller.The sea is turquoise, the beach ?,is just a beach, all the boats ,in the Bay is not necessarily a nice view. Nothing special and I think people visiting this area this time of year would be bitterly disappointed with the reality of the paradise image they had of Mauritius. It rains a lot,it's not particularly hot or sunny ..but for me it was ok,I was just on a visa run ,nothing else.
