We are incredibly pleased with our stay at the oberoi hotels. Amazing service from the staff all the way from the reception, housekeeping, restaurant and the management. The staff has a can-do attitude, they will do their best to be flexible and accomodate our request. A big shout-out to the chef, Deepak Kumar for the delicious food; we really enjoyed the food and the overall service and hospitality. Highly recommended, Thank you 🙂

It is quite unusual to visit a place which is much more than just a very good place with good service. I do not have enough words to describe my satisfaction and gratitude to all the great people working in Westin Turtle Bay. They are not just kind and helpful - they are friendly above any expectations! Quality of the hotel - rooms, diversity of cusine, perfection in taste, views and the overall feeling of this place. We've been to many places around the world, but this hotel and it's stuff was far beyond what we've experienced so far. I can't mention by name all the great people who put a lot of effort in our time there, but I have to mention about Ms. Madelyn, Ms. Venisha and Ms. Partisha - thank you among all the others. This property is on the beach, walking distance from shops and a short drive to an ATM (2 Km) and restaurants. We liked the friendliness of the staff and the relaxed atmosphere at the hotel. We had a sea view room (which was a bonus) with a lovely balcony. The rooms are exceptionally clean and modern. We liked that the room had a kitchenette. We had lunch and dinner at Le Skipper restaurant which is on the premises and the food was amazing. We spent most of our time swimming in the pool but there is a spot where you can swim in the sea just to the right of the property.

    Balaclava is not the most lively part of Mauritius which...

    Balaclava is not the most lively part of Mauritius which suited us perfectly. It consists mostly of vegetable fields, forests and small hamlets. The coast is getting developed with hotels but each is keeping its space so it doesn't feel crowded. You need to rent a car or get a taxi to visit the nearest town, Pamplemousses. There you have the old sugar factory, botanical gardens and a very pleasant shopping mall with a food supermarket.

    Although it was very hot and humid but there always was a...

    Although it was very hot and humid but there always was a cooling breeze along the coast. Couldn`t fault the staff, always very friendly an helpful and the room service was excellent, clean and efficient. We were not a young couple (in out 70s and 80s) and preferred to stay and enjoy the restful facilities of the resort. We could see that young couples with children were having a good time and were more likely to travel around the island in the heat.

    Balaclava is remote so no opportunity to walk anywhere.

    Balaclava is remote so no opportunity to walk anywhere. We were fine with a good dinner and the occasional musician but some might find it boring. We used a driver but if not then you’d need a car to get round the island. It was cyclone season so mixed weather but in general the North of the island has drier sunnier weather than the South.

    wonderful and chearful resort design, I liked it so much.

    wonderful and chearful resort design, I liked it so much. there are free and paid activities it is very good for families. 12 minutes from seewoosagur ramgoolam botanic garden and 15 minutes from port luis by taxi. there are 2 resturants and bar on the beach, there is delicious hot snack bufffet ( 4 - 5 pm).

    The host was exceptional and went above and beyond to make sure our stay was as comfortable as possible. The apartment was fantastic, clean and cosy. Kitchen area, bathroom, bedroom and lounge with a t.v with Netflix. Great location, not far from balaclava turtle beach.
