The breakfast had a lot of options as well as the dinner buffet - we also tried different a la carte restaurants where the food experience was exceptional! The beach is right in the front of the hotel - we enjoyed watching the sunset every night. The concierge was really helpful with booking different activities for us.

Josephine was an exceptional host, she made sure we were satisfied up to the little details. Before our arrival until our departure, she was in touch to ensure our stay was very comfortable and smooth. I have rarely been as well received! We liked literally everything there! Starting from the house, location to incredible service. The house is well located, about 3mins drive to Le Morne beach. It is equipped with everything you need, has a very modern kitchen, big bedrooms, nice dining area outside and amazing sitting area by the pool to spend the evenings outside. It has a beautiful garden, well sized swimming pool with multiple sunbeds and refreshing jacuzzi. The garden and swimming pool are regularly cleaned and maintained (gardener coming over every 2/3 days). The house and area outside were great. But the service and hospitality from the hosts were even better! Ancy and Lize made our stay in Le Morne unforgettable. They always go above and beyond to make the guests feel special. Ancy is fantastic, very attentive to details, kind and responsive, always willing to help and organize things for her guests. The dinners prepared by Ancy/Lize were the best we had in Mauritius! Fantastic local food, prepared and served with love (+ some local spices :D ). I would have rated our stay in La Villa Marie Joana 12 out of 10 if I could. Thank you Ancy and Lize for making our stay so special! We shall get back to you one day :)

One of a million location, probably the best views on the whole island. You can just sit there and enjoy breathtaking panorama of mountains, forests, ocean, island and bays. Very kind and welcoming staff. Nice breakfasts and outstanding dinners, dinners are a must at this location. Worth to get there by quite challenging road - you need to be confident driver.

    Tu beach is just amazing, the color of the water is...

    Tu beach is just amazing, the color of the water is impressive, in the public beach you have to possibility to see the see turtles. The place is a piece of paradise. Definitely worth to go and to spend some time there. I would recommend an hotel next to the le Morne beach most of the hotel do not have the possibility to eat or rent the sun bed just daily. Also I would recommend the experience of swimming with the dolphins that is offered almost everywhere.

    Not a good hotel for winter visits.

    Not a good hotel for winter visits. Best rooms face South so no sun until 4pm. Hotel was about 20% occupancy resulting in no "buzz", facilities open part time and food on buffet not consumed quickly enough to be fresh.

    The suite in the JW Marriott Hotel was very spacious and clean. The balcony had a beautiful view overlooking tbe ocean, comfortable bench and chairs. Beautiful garden and pool. We also enjoyed the fitness facilities and library. Very attentive staff. Special thanks to Kanen who provided excellent service.

    We chose to stay here because it was all inclusive, but it was definitely not worth it. The food was not very good, and the room was very basic and the bed was extremely uncomfortable and with low quality sheets. I would have much rather stayed in a nicer room and bought my meals separately elsewhere.

    Le Morne is a national park and an imposing background to several luxury hotels. We admired it from the beach only and did not attempt the climb. There is not much else to do in the area apart from relax at one of the hotels - unless you wind surf. We had a car and did not find much in the way of shops or restaurants. Best choose a nice hotel and go full board or all-inclusive.

    On the whole island, this was the only place where we felt like home. The hostess is very kind and cheerful, she extended our day by a few hours while we waited for a taxi. To get to the most beautiful beaches of Le Morne you have to take a 40-minute walk along a wild beach and go through shallow water - unforgetable adventure! I recommend it! I would love to come back with my family, there is a playground right in front of the house by the beach. Le boulette bought on the road are delicious.

    Bright, spacious apartment. The kitchen is well equipped. From a terracet tere is a view of the bay and Le Morne, beautiful sunsets. The lady gave us a canoe and we paddled to the island of Ile aux Benitieres. We were alone on the island, otherwise it is full of tourist boats. Larger store approx. 1 km away, near the restaurant. Strongly recomended.
