The apartment is very nice, well fitted with everything you might need, clean. Location is on the main road and easy to find. But the best thing is the care and kindness Kerstin is putting into making your stay a memorable one. She made reservations for boat trip, restaurants every night we spent there, kindly offered to call the airport for our lost luggage. The only thing I regret is not knowing that her husband is a Romanian foodie - we would have brought him some supplies. So, shoutout to all Romanians going there: bring over some polenta flour / mălai and goat cheese and you will make a guy happy very easily.

The communication before arrival and the warm welcome from the host Ashok were excellent. The apartment is spacious, clean and tidy. Everything you would expect from a rented apartment is provided including a fully equipped kitchen; even more: fruit on the table, cold water and beer in the fridge, as well as a nespresso machine and capsules. A bit beaten town, lots of drunks and abandoned houses. There are some nice restaurants around (Chez Tino, Green Island Beach Restaurant) and places to visit (Île aux Cerfs, GRSE waterfall), but overall not to stay for too long.

The village is charming, easy to go on the boat to other islands. I recommend a visit to Ile aux Cerf, you can relax or do some sport e.g waterski, swimming. By boat to GRSE Waterfall. Take a BBQ lunch to one of the other island there.

It is a great location to see traditional Mauritian life.

It is a great location to see traditional Mauritian life. A few minutes bus ride is the unspoilt beach at Palmar. It is the best beach we have seen on the island. The reef is close to shore and the water is crystal clear.

The beach was absolutely stunning. We loved the water-sports on offer such as sailing, water skiing, kayaking and padel boarding. The water-sports team were great. The decor of the hotel was beautiful and luxurious, especially at Safran restaurant, Sega bar and the beach house restaurant. We absolutely loved the access to the private island. Having lunch there and spending the day there was really special. Our cleaner Ayesha was great and we loved the chocolates she left everyday.

We enjoyed our stay here very much. Especially heartly thanks to Ashley's mother to make it feel like home. Shruti who brought us delicious breakfast with a big smile. Everyone is super nice and sweet. It is a very good hotel/airbnb with a nice touch of family environment. Renting a car comes handy for roaming around Mauritius. All the excellent reviews given to them are well deserved.

The size of the hotel is perfect … not too small but not to big either. Very laid back and relaxed atmosphere. When we were there the weather was very windy and cloudy … the wind may get very strong and hard to stand for many hours. The hotel has no beach. There is a public one within walking distance.
