Loved the pool and bar area! Nice shaded communal areas for lounging too. The staff were lovely and attentive. The cafe - casa del surfer, on site had amazing food. The hosts provide a guide to local restaurants/cafes too which was super helpful. Did a surf lesson with mapache surf adventures as recommended by casa badu and would highly recommend this too.

Gorgeous little property - it was perfect for what we wanted. Quiet, relaxing, clean and only located a short walk to the main bars in La Punta. Justine and all the staff were extremely helpful in arranging taxis when needed and sharing local recommendations for food, drinks and activities. Highly recommended!

The hotel is stunning with amazing beach views, a lovely pool and generally beautiful grounds. The room was spacious and super comfortable - bed was big and the balcony was lovely with really comfortable chairs to watch the sunset. The food and cocktails were great too! Short walk to either Zicatela or La Punta where you can find plenty of bars and restaurants. overall an amazing stay :)

    Its a place for surfing so dont expect to get in the sea everywhere because the waves are high in parts of the beaches, but its beautiful to look at this and you can go to sailing with dolphins and turtles. Parties and nightlife more in la punta.

    We were only there for two nights so we were limited.

    We were only there for two nights so we were limited. We stayed in the Rinconada area which is pretty residential, but we found great restaurants (El Nene and Espadin), coffee shop (Dulce Tierra Bakery & Coffee) and beaches. The beaches are small and very crowded. Playa Carrizalillo was the largest and had some shade. Playa Manzanillo and Puerto Angelito smaller but much closer to our condo. They are called swimming beaches but the waves were a bit strong for me, but no problem for my daughter. Taxis are plentiful and easily waved down.

    Amazing destination for a quick trip.

    Amazing destination for a quick trip. People is friendly and kind. There are a lot of tours with pick up and drop off at the hotel/hostal/ Airbnb included. At night it might feel a bit insecure because there isn't a lot of public lighting but it's safe to walk around. I definitely loved the people, they take care of the environment and tourism. Didi works there but don't expect a quick answer, normal taxi is way better and safe.

    I would come here for a peaceful getaway: to read a book at the hotel or on the beach, watch the sunsets, listen to the sound of powerful waves, enjoy sandwiches and coffee at a café, take a boat tour, and go for a sunset walk along the shore. The calm beaches are crowded, and the main beach isn’t suitable for swimming. So if you’re looking for a place to swim a lot — this isn’t the right spot.

    A lovely area but becoming more expensive as more tourists flock to the town , restaurants and shops are on the pricey side also the bars on the beach in Punta asking for £10 per sun bed and food on top which's is European Prices (shame)

    Overrated, overpriced, and not maintained places.

    Overrated, overpriced, and not maintained places. The surrounding of Purto Escondito are gorgeous but if you come for the city, you’ll be disappointed like me. I was looking forward to a cute beach town, eating sea food and enjoying the ocean. Well first of all, you won’t be able to swim because the waves are massive. Plan a budget of 15-20 USD for a breakfast fried eggs + bacon plate and donc expect any within walking distance things. Every thing is spread out and you’ll need to use a taxi or rent a transport. After travelling 1 month is Mexico, I was super disappointed by this place. It’s more expensive than Cancun, Playa Del Carmen, Oaxaca, Tulum, and even Merida. I came with the intention to stay a week, and ended up staying one day.

    The house was really beautiful and well looked after. Some parts, like the reception area and the breakfast area could be modernised but it doesn’t affect the environment. The location is great for good restaurants and cafés (and a really nice ice cream shop). It’s the quiet part of Puerto Escondido, with 2 small beautiful bays that are at less than 10 min walk from the hotel. The surfers’ area is close by and easy to reach by taxi. If you like walking, you can also do a walk through the beach.

Also, the swimming pool area is really nice. Comfortable beds, and airconditioning in the room (highly recommended due to the humid conditions in Puerto Escondido)
