Hands down the Best hostel where I have been! The common area was super nice and comfortable, the kitchen was very nice and had free water/coffee/tea available for the guests. Free breakfast was soo good you had 2 options to choose from. Everything was super clean and you just feel like at home. Then to the best part THE BED ohmy it was the best bed I have been sleeping in Malaysia so far. I was in 8ppl dorm room. You get 2 fluffy pillows and a blanket and the mattress is just perfect. The beds are wide and with a curtain. And then the STAFF. Wenesa my dear hosted us a wanton night so we made them together and ate together. Just had the best time here with a bunch of lovely people. I couldn’t recommend it more. It made Ipoh special for me thank you so much for all the staff❤️

Its a young energetic town with lots going on. The food is great and shopping interesting - new designers and little India were my favourites. I would go for a long weekend with a couple of 20/30 something friends.

I never miss going to Wan Mee Kari ( Mee kari Kak Yah).

I never miss going to Wan Mee Kari ( Mee kari Kak Yah). I also love to go to the pasar tani@ Silibin where you can get Patin and Baung and other 'kampung' produce and traditional kuehs too. Concubine Lane is interesting too. Love the homemade ice-cream there and the assortment of nuts sold by a young entrepreneur. There are a few nasi kandar restaurants which are good but Penang's still the best.

The temples tour and white water rafting in Gopeng were a highlight. Make sure you download Grab as it's not so easy to get around without it. The bus station is a fair distance from the city, the train station is more centrally located. The night market was a bit of a disappointment. The historic town centre was more scenic but touristy, super busy at the weekend. The book vault was interesting and the iced white coffee is amazing.

As a Malaysian, if you like to see what Ipoh was like in the earlier days, this is the place to go. The food is delicious and cheap. However, if traveling in a group, and depending on which food stall to eat at, try asking for individual food and not shared food, as some food stalls tend to give less, like we experienced at this Hakka Noodle stall at the corner shop. Check your bill like we did, and we found out about the lady overcharging us. Try not to speak in English but in the local dialect, preferably Cantonese.

The railway station is pleasantly colonial in style and the town is pleasant to walk in (bearing in mind the humidity which can be difficult to support when you are towing baggage!) It's a good place to rent a car and take highway 185 to the Cameron Highlands - which is well worth it for the lower temperature of 22 degrees as opposed to 33 in the city.

The hotel was in a great location. It is only a few minutes walk to many eating places in the new town. There is an excellent food court at the back of the hotel for breakfast. The staff were really friendly and helpful. They did everything they could to assist us. The room was large and equipped with kettle, hairdryer and fridge. The bathroom was a good size. We stayed for 3 nights Everything was very comfortable and we felt very relaxed which enabled us to enjoy our time in Ipoh.

Great front desk staff who were extremely professional and provided great advice on the best places to eat. Hotel is surrounded by local restaurants and about a 10-15 minute walk to the old town, where most of what you will want to see is located. Nice room and bathroom, large comfortable bed and not too much noise from the street. This is definitely my go-to hotel if I am ever back in Ipoh.

Room and toilet are clean and comfortable. They even prepared towels and toiletries in the room. They have iron which you need to ask and get it from the receptionist. Only 10 min walk to Ipoh Night Market (Uptown Ipoh). Many parking lots in front of the hotel. Overall a good value for the money.
