The houses are located right in the jungle, so wild animals are your neighbors, and it's wonderful. There's a large, deserted beach where you can swim, although there were occasional waves. There's a village nearby with a food court where you can eat inexpensively. The resort offers a variety of activities; we walked several jungle trails, another wonderful memory. The breakfast portions could have been more filling, but overall it was good. Cleaning is done every day and very quickly. Staff was very friendly and nice

Our visit to Santubong was a peaceful escape into nature’s beauty. Surrounded by lush green hills and set against the South China Sea, the area offers breathtaking views—especially during sunset at Damai Beach. The calm waves, golden skies, and majestic silhouette of Mount Santubong made it a perfect spot for reflection and photography. While we enjoyed the stunning scenery and relaxing atmosphere, some parts of the beach and resort surroundings could benefit from better maintenance to preserve the natural charm. Still, Santubong remains a wonderful destination for those who appreciate quiet moments, nature, and beautiful coastal landscapes.

Breakfast selection was very limited and the time taken for replenishment was slow. The pool facilities overall was as what we expected (decent), but we had a very unpleasant experience with the team building group that were present. There was loud techno music being played by the pool reception staff and when I approached him to request for him to either change the music or tone down the volume, he informed me that the music was requested by the other guests. I was later informed by the staff concerned that he did not have a choice but to honor the guests requests (which is totally understandable), but what made it a total turn off was the fact that the management did not put conditions on these types of guests requests which potentially disrupts the peace and serenity. I could go elsewhere if I'm being a "Karen" about this feedback, but it's my honest review. Apart from the crappy techno / rave music that was blasting from the pool area and the poor selection of breakfast, I'd give 4 stars for the service/ hospitality by the staff in general.

Nice place for the location, beach & mountain.

Nice place for the location, beach & mountain. Breakfast & other meals can be improved ~ however we should give management grace period post lockdown. Please improve the wifi - it can’t be used. Visit Cultural Village- it is within walking distance & nicely set up.

Pure tranquility and the cultural Village nearby was great. Nice beach bar lovely staff. They sold real wine. I was volunteering in the jungle with Orangutans and sun bears so this break was sheer bliss. My room was lovely as was my balcony. Bit far from my main hotel but excellent hotel bus service and you can walk downhill to resort by stairs easily.

All the food was cooked really well, the staff were able to make many dishes vegan for us. The location was spectacular. The tree house was like a dream, felt very lucky to have booked this accommodation. I have read a few negative reviews but you don't need to take them seriously, they are written by people expecting 5 star luxury for 2 star prices.

The staff is so friendly. My partner was ill when we stayed here, and they took such good care of us. The hotel is beautiful, especially the pool area is very nice. The rooms are very spacious and we really enjoyed the terrace in our garden room.

A perfect place to go with small kids in kuching. My 3 years old enjoyed so much at the kids swimming pool and the beach is just right at the front of the resort. The staffs are very friendly and the room with pool access is just perfect.
