We had a great time, the hotel room and grounds are beautiful, and the staff are warm and welcoming! We had arrived late from a long drive and the staff were so thoughtful, they had even contacted us early to ensure that we were well taken care off and accommodated our request for late night dinner even after the kitchen had closed. Our visit to Santubong was a peaceful escape into nature’s beauty. Surrounded by lush green hills and set against the South China Sea, the area offers breathtaking views—especially during sunset at Damai Beach. The calm waves, golden skies, and majestic silhouette of Mount Santubong made it a perfect spot for reflection and photography. While we enjoyed the stunning scenery and relaxing atmosphere, some parts of the beach and resort surroundings could benefit from better maintenance to preserve the natural charm. Still, Santubong remains a wonderful destination for those who appreciate quiet moments, nature, and beautiful coastal landscapes.

Breakfast selection was very limited and the time taken for replenishment was slow. The pool facilities overall was as what we expected (decent), but we had a very unpleasant experience with the team building group that were present. There was loud techno music being played by the pool reception staff and when I approached him to request for him to either change the music or tone down the volume, he informed me that the music was requested by the other guests. I was later informed by the staff concerned that he did not have a choice but to honor the guests requests (which is totally understandable), but what made it a total turn off was the fact that the management did not put conditions on these types of guests requests which potentially disrupts the peace and serenity. I could go elsewhere if I'm being a "Karen" about this feedback, but it's my honest review. Apart from the crappy techno / rave music that was blasting from the pool area and the poor selection of breakfast, I'd give 4 stars for the service/ hospitality by the staff in general.

Nice place for the location, beach & mountain.

Nice place for the location, beach & mountain. Breakfast & other meals can be improved ~ however we should give management grace period post lockdown. Please improve the wifi - it can’t be used. Visit Cultural Village- it is within walking distance & nicely set up.

It is all about its location. The beach that consider nearest to Kuching city. I’m averagely spend 3 to 4 nights at this resort every year. This round I’m very lucky to have Miss Aisyah Azzahra to serve us upon checking in. I never have such a pleasant check-in experience except this time. Ms Aisyah is very efficient.

Only stayed very briefly so cannot comment on location but the hotel was so nice! Beautiful aesthetic. Lovely pool, trees and furniture. Dorm room was nice and two showers for a dorm of 6 is great.
