I came to Brielle for a particular purpose but was impressed with this beautiful small 'island' town for its wonderfully preserved and reconstructed buildings and fascinating history. Quiet place, really picturesque with shops, restaurants and bars. There is a supermarket called Jumbo which is underneath the main car park just on the edge of town. They have a regular market. Was a cool historic hotel. Loved the town. Hotel staff were friendly. Only thing I would recommend is that if you can't do stairs, that you request a ground floor room. We had a cheap room with toilet and bathroom in the hall but it was no problem in the end, actually they were just ouside our door. We didn't have breakfast ordered but it was no problem adding it. The furnishings are quite simple and older but you're in a historical centre of an old town so you cannot expect anything else, we were perfectly fine with everything.
