Location and staff! The team went out of their way to ensure we had a good stay. Before arrival, communication was excellent and due to flight delays took away our worries. The restaurant is a must do as well (make a reservation as highly popular) and the breakfast was great too. We were spoiled! Highly recommend a stay and a next time will stay a bit longer. The area has lots to offer.

It was the best B&B I ever stayed. It is situated at the end of the street so it is very quiet. It is in walking distance to the burial chamber stones through lovely countryside. Room was large warm and bright. Beds were large and very comfortable. Bathroom had good powerful shower. There was fridge with the drinks coffee machine, kettle. Breakfast came to the door on the tray, and it was large and varied. It was nice to have breakfast in once pyjamas. Even the dog got his biscuits. Very lovely gesture.

Everything! The bed, the bedding, pillows. Very comfortable. Everything is new and stylish. Close to the centre. The staff was really nice. The room was absolutely beautiful. The room had grounding coffee machine!

Small hotel located in the center of a small country village. Hotel has a very nice restaurant. Super friendly staff. Dinner was good. Excellent breakfast, they inquire what you like to eat and bring what you wish to your table. Enough free parking area around the hotel. The single room no 1 is a bit small, but enough for a short stay. My bathroom was a modern new bathroom. Access stair to 1st floor is a bit steep, but for those in need there is an elevator chair. It was a warm summer night, but luckily my room had airco. Great location for hiking or biking.

it was a charming former blacksmith shop with the forge and tools still in situ. The host went out of his way for us even taking us to the station. Breakfast was delicious and beautifully presented. A great place to stay to visit Giethoorne

The staff are very friendly and the hotel itself is extremely comfortable. Food is delicious, plus a great breakfast. Great size swimming pool and sauna. Lovely location with plenty of walks. And conveniently situated for public bus transport to nearby towns. I plan to return for longer next time.

An interesting landscape with plenty to offer, similar to what we know from East Frisia. Very well-developed infrastructure, centrally located for excursions to Emmen, Groningen, and Amsterdam. Other interesting destinations are also easily accessible. The town offers everything a holidaymaker needs for their stay.

Havelte isn't exactly a charming town.

Havelte isn't exactly a charming town. The surrounding area is lovely for cycling, though. There are also some charming restaurants, some requiring reservations. We had a delicious meal at 't Knooppunt.

Havelte is a charming little community where you can find...

Havelte is a charming little community where you can find everything you need. If you really want to go shopping, you should definitely go to Steenwijk. Havelte is also a great starting point for lovely walks and bike rides.

A delicious, extensive breakfast with fresh ingredients.

A delicious, extensive breakfast with fresh ingredients. Clean towels every day. Wonderful Rituals soap and shampoo. Very friendly and welcoming staff. You can enjoy a delicious dinner here. The plates are beautifully presented, and the food is worth a star!

Enjoy beautiful nature walks. Uffelte: Binnenveld, Holtingerveld. Havelterberg: dolmen D53, the second-largest dolmen in the Netherlands. Good restaurants accessible by car: restaurant de Sluiswachter. Havelte: The tropical garden of Papiliorama. Drentsmuseum Assen.

Ludiek eten & slapen exceeded our expectations. The hotel feels small-scale and personal, with stylish rooms and great attention to detail. Dinner and breakfast in the restaurant were both delicious, and the surroundings are peaceful and beautifully rural. It was one of the highlights of my parents’ trip from Singapore.

Location is fantastic, very quiet, close to the woods. Large open space downstairs; kitchen, dinign and living room are openly connected. Close to Havelte with Albert Heijn and bakery. The house warms up very fast. Has washer and dryer, oven, stove, microwave, etc. Plenty of dishes, cups, and pots and pans.

The place was lovely and spacey and the owner was the nicest we could have wished for. Stayed there for about 5 days, and could have stayed there for much longer. :) Havelte itself is a very beautiful area in the netherlands, with beautiful nature and even a bit of a hill ;)
