The name is very well chosen! It is indeed a real paradise. It seems like you enter another world and you can feel that everything is made with love! Full privacy because the house is on an island that only you can enter. There is a beautiful parc around the lake that invites to have a walk. And if you want to come with your family or some friends, there are also other beautiful accommodations available. The owners are really creative! We had the pleasure to shortly meet Rob - what an interesting and welcoming person! I can only recommend and will be back as soon as possible :) thank you very much!!!

Very nice hotel with welcoming staff. We had a pleasant stay. Loved the hotel shower and the bed was also great. The view was not so good but that didn’t bother us. As for the parking, you have to pay 10€ per day, the parking lot is big enough so we had no problem with parking.

Hillegom is a very quiet town but is perfectly located for...

Hillegom is a very quiet town but is perfectly located for travelling around the tulip fields. We rented bikes from The Keukenhof for 3 days and rode 30- 40km each day. We had to speak to the Manager on site at the Keukenhof bike rental to get the 3 days as they are usually only set up for 3 hrs or 1 full day. Super Happy with the service at the Keukenhof Bike Rental. The bike paths around the Keukehof area are easily accessible and fun to ride. We rode out to Zandvoort one day and watched Porsche, Lamborghinis and Formula 1 cars having a "fun day" at the Circuit Zandvoort. Free :) Cycled back along the paved Dunes bike path, stopped for refreshments at Beach 27 then headed back to Keukenhof. (39km) The Hotel Villa Flora where we stayed had free overnight bike storage available.

This place is very central 20 min away from Amsterdam...

This place is very central 20 min away from Amsterdam Airport and 30 from Amsterdam City. Nice small bars and good restaurants and coffee shops. Little shopping streets. 30 min away from larger cities and bang in the middle of the flowering fields. Close to the sea side with many fish restaurants.

The location is ideal, and there's a very good ice cream...

The location is ideal, and there's a very good ice cream parlor in the pedestrian zone. It's a 5-minute drive from Keukenhof Gardens, and the seaside resorts are easily reachable in 15 minutes. If it rains, the historic cities with their outstanding cultural offerings are also easily accessible.

A very beautiful, peaceful place, surrounded by nature. The food at Tulpis was excellent, both in the morning and in the evening. Highly recommended! A lovely, family-run bed and breakfast where we felt completely at ease.

The hotel and staff were very good.

The hotel and staff were very good. The location was also excellent. Every excursion was possible – the hotel offered a wide variety of food – the pancake house was particularly good. Unfortunately, there wasn't a sufficient selection of restaurants. The bus service was also good. It's easy to navigate without a map.

The hotel has very few parking spaces of its own.

The hotel has very few parking spaces of its own. Those arriving late have to find a parking spot on the street, and when I was there, they were all taken. If parking is important to you and you don't want to waste time searching for a space, this hotel might not be the best choice.

It is a lovely room. Comfortable, clean and spacious with views of the tulip fields. Nicole is a great host. Very friendly, welcoming and helpful and will make you feel at home. The area is very quiet and safe and it's a short, easy walk from Hillegom train station. You can also walk in to town in 10 minutes or so. An ideal base to explore Keukenhof, Haarlem, Amsterdam and beyond.

All was great, owners are really friendly, close to train station, available parking, close to Keukenhof (10mins car) and restaurants/supermarkets in Hillegom are 5mins by car. Toaster and microwave were not available, otherwise the kitchen is fully equipped. Toiletries provided and also coffee, tea, sugar plus a bottle of wine extra
