We have stayed in this area a number of times. In the local area we like Spakenburg best of all. We also stay here to visit Arnhem because of the museums and we like the waterfront at Nijmegen. chose the accommodation for the purpose of sightseeing in Amsterdam and the surrounding area, the distance to the center is about 45 minutes by car - considering the price, it was completely satisfactory. The place had everything we needed for and we really adored it. Europarks is the real "TOP" park in the Netherlands, regardless of others trying to convince you otherwise. And I have zero affiliation with them - I am just an impressed guest. Christmas in Amstelveen and Nijkerk was FANTASTIC and we got lots of shopping there.
