Perfect spot.
Perfect spot. Very quiet as there was only a few cabins near by but still close enough to things that are going on. Views were amazing from the cabin with a decked seating at the front of the property with views of the sea and the mountains. Just beautiful. We ate at Anita’s restaurant. Beautiful town!
Beautiful town! Try to be there when there aren't tour busses full of people. During the summer and the midnight sun it's really pleasant at night. Our highlight was hiking the Reinebringen - twice! Once at night, once in the morning. We also watched for orcas, which we heard were sighted pretty often that week but we didn't see them. Highly recommend staying at the Sakrisoy Gjestegård but it's easiest to get around if you have a car.Guest review byCherylUnited States - 8.0

Reine is a spectacular location but without a car you need to plan carefully on how to get around on the buses, and use the Reis app. We stayed on Sakriskoy which has 2 excellent restaurants. To start off, we went during the winter season (we were there fro March 18-20th). As amazing as the winter views are during the time we went, honestly I would not recommend going during the winter for the first time, especially if you are not an experienced hiker as the snow and storms limit many of the activities you can do around the area. Of course, this is a different story if you are going specifically FOR winter related actives, then Reine can be quite the winter wonderland (though I think Tromso would be better for that, although I have never been). I wanted to do more hikes during our time there, but the snow made it quite a challenge, for example the famous Reinebergen trail was closed off and highly advised not to climb due to avalanche warning, slip hazards, and so on. The accommodation was authentic but comfortable and the semi over water feel was fantastic. With great summer weather and the windows open my wife and I enjoyed the sound of the sea gulls. It was very Doc Martin. We only stayed two nights so dined at the Mexican restaurant next door (very friendly staff) and the Seafood across the road. The Rorbuers feel very authentic and ours was so cosy and comfortable. The heated floors in the entrance and bathrooms were very welcome.
