It was a gorgeous, spacious property with the most spectacular view. Felt really luxurious with all the modern fittings. The owners were very easy to contact. This really ended our trip in the most perfect way. It felt like a “special” accommodation, one that we will talk about for time to come.

Very clean and with a nice terrace! owners payed a lot of attention to small details (a book about history of the family, quality utensils, small logos on boxes etc.). I appreciate that they also prepped a page about their cleaner Julia, it makes me believe the owner is a good employer who values their employees (especially that appt was spotlessly clean)

    Perfect spot.

    Perfect spot. Very quiet as there was only a few cabins near by but still close enough to things that are going on. Views were amazing from the cabin with a decked seating at the front of the property with views of the sea and the mountains. Just beautiful. We ate at Anita’s restaurant. We also ate from a take away cabin in Flakstadoya, well worth going there. It was delicious. Sorry we didn’t have time to kayak in Reine

    Beautiful town!

    Beautiful town! Try to be there when there aren't tour busses full of people. During the summer and the midnight sun it's really pleasant at night. Our highlight was hiking the Reinebringen - twice! Once at night, once in the morning. We also watched for orcas, which we heard were sighted pretty often that week but we didn't see them. Highly recommend staying at the Sakrisoy Gjestegård but it's easiest to get around if you have a car.

    The excellent location and spacious unit Near public transport. The buses stop just outside. They should do something about the fire alarm which goes off at slight cooking. Otherwise excellent property great views.

    Reine is a spectacular location but without a car you need...

    Reine is a spectacular location but without a car you need to plan carefully on how to get around on the buses, and use the Reis app. We stayed on Sakriskoy which has 2 excellent restaurants. The Underhuset run by a very welcoming Mexican proprietor who cooks marvellously, and Anita's seafood.

    To start off, we went during the winter season (we were there fro March 18-20th). As amazing as the winter views are during the time we went, honestly I would not recommend going during the winter for the first time, especially if you are not an experienced hiker as the snow and storms limit many of the activities you can do around the area. Of course, this is a different story if you are going specifically FOR winter related actives, then Reine can be quite the winter wonderland (though I think Tromso would be better for that, although I have never been). I wanted to do more hikes during our time there, but the snow made it quite a challenge, for example the famous Reinebergen trail was closed off and highly advised not to climb due to avalanche warning, slip hazards, and so on. Proceed with caution and enjoy the beauty!

    If you want to stay in an iconic spot in the Lofoten Islands, this is it! Our little red fishing cottage was lovely, with an epic view out over the water - the perfect spot to watch storms roll through (which they did frequently during our stay). We liked that the cabin came with a kitchenette, but ate dinner twice at the on-site restaurant, Gadus, which was excellent. There aren't many restaurants to choose from, so plan in advance!

    Idyllic place, rich of history and good emotions. Our stay was perfect. Starting from the host , very polite and always answering to our requests, continuing with the rorbuer itself and the terrace outside , everything confirmed in a positive way our choice. The wood stove give that plus at the living room/kitchen. An authentic place where to spend our holidays. If one day we will be back in Lofoten, definetly we will stay here!

    An authentic place where you can enjoy the true atmosphere of the Lofoten Islands. Next to the cottage, fish is drying, there are high peaks and the smell of the sea all around. Just sit on the porch and dream.. enjoying the calm place. Good starting point for hiking, coffee and bakery nearby.
