I loved everything about Joy Source - the delicious organic food, the stunning views, the birdsong, the atelier, the peace, the spirituality and the beautifully designed accommodation. However what really made this place so special were the people in the community. They are some of the kindest most loving people I have ever met. Everything here is done with love, consideration and care for the community, the guests and the environment. I left feeling so loved and supported and will be returning. If you are looking for tranquility, space, joy and the freedom to connect with yourself in a supportive non-judgemental environment Joy Source will be your haven.

Dolakh (CEO of the Hotel) has been really helpful during our stay, taking care of every single detail to make us feel home. He is really passionate about what he does. Oasis Hotel is at the Kantipath entrance to Thamel, next door to the Garden of Dreams, two minutes walk from Himalayan Java coffee house and Fire & Ice pizzeria, and just metres from the new Chhaya Centre. There are also lovely restaurants, spas and minimart next door. Rooms are spacious, with good natural light and ours included a fridge which was a bonus. The bathroom shower was hot with strong pressure. The hotel has its own small Cafe and offers indoor and outdoor dining, although we only ate breakfast there. The complimentary breakfast buffet was reasonable. What really puts Oasis above other mid-range hotels is its customer service. The staff, especially the manager, are very invested in making sure you are happy and having the best experience possible! Nothing was too much of a problem, and our requests were attended to very promptly. Their complimentary pickup service from the airport was an added bonus.
