We felt welcomed everywhere we went.

Loved the views around Blenheim.
Loved the views around Blenheim. Beautiful walks and stunning weather on autumn days. Only went to one vineyard and the food was divine ( wither hills) . Will be back to try more!! Omaka Aerodrome is stunning - I wasn't that keen as airplanes are not my deal but it was a terrific display - showcasing the skills of weta workshop! Great small town.
Great small town. Lots of character with a range of restaurants. Crucially it sits at the heart of Marlborough wine growing region. We did a half day wine tour and loved. The host Heather and her dog Perrita were such brilliant hosts. Super clean house and bedroom, I had everything I needed whilst I was staying. Even little touches like toiletries in the bathroom! Heather also prepared a great healthy breakfast every morning too. Individual room locked as well as having a main door key - I felt incredibly safe anyway, but that was another thoughtful touch. Rather than an apartment, we stayed at the Hotel D’Urville in the town centre which was OK; compact room, not modern, a little tired. Maybe would have been better to find accommodation on a vineyard but not many have restaurants on site which, given the more remote locations, is preferable.
