Some young people on the street at night (young white males ) whose attitude towards me was rather mocking of an older person. This was about 10.45 at night. I come from Auckland. Cambridge is not a place I would feel safe walking the streets at night. Visitors beware. I don't feel like this when walking the streets at night in Auckland at that time. We were there for the Nationals Dragon Boating Regatta, and would have liked to have stayed on afterwards as spending a few hours in and around Cambridge (when we were away from the lake), the town and surrounding area looked like a great place to explore further. The staff were welcoming. The room was bright, airy, lovely beds, great shower pressure and excellent facilities overall. Shopping was excellent as was the cafe we ate at.
