Clean and very well equipped. Had all amenities we could have ever asked for, including a hob, laundry machine and heating in the toilet. Conveniently located within 3mins drive to the town centre. Staff were very helpful, who helped us find an ipad that we left behind so we could come back to get it the next day.

Host are helpful to come and assist us when our 4WD could not drive in to the driveway due to the snow. We were allowed to park our SUV on the road. Very nice, comfortable place. We were happy with this unit since it is difficult to get a 3 bathroom unit that has 3 bathrooms. The facilities were great and we managed to stay and enjoy our meals together. We also had the change to do our laundry with ample space to dry them.

Gorgeous unit and tastefully designed. A lot of people have pointed out that it offers little privacy due to the many glass panels and windows but we didn't find it a problem as there were ample blinds in all the rooms and shared spaces. The fact that each room had its own bathroom was a huge plus point. The kitchen was well-appointed and had everything we needed to cook a simple breakfast. Location was fantastic too. Easily the nicest place we stayed at during our trip around the South Island.

As an outdoor painter, my favourite painting spots were the Church of the Good Sheppherd, along the lake and the lookouts at Lake Pukaki,. Our grandson fished at both the Lake Tekapo and the Twizel canals, and was happy when he caught two salmon. We ate at Ramen and that was excellent, and used the 4 Square a lot, it was well stocked and had good choices.

Lots of 'view' at Lake Tekapo, but things to do as well! The Haka House Hostel was very clean and comfortable. And private for a dormitory ! Blinds around the bed meant that even though i was sharing a room with 3 others, it felt like i was in a wee room of my own. Great kitchen facilities, comfy lounge with the best view!

This place must be one of the most beautiful places in the world. Lots of options for food, a cute grocery store and finding parking to go and do things was easy. I have never seen so many stars at night either!

A quaint town that is known for its dark skies -- it was a wonderful experience stargazing at night. During the day, the lake provides a wonderful backdrop for pictures and the area is rich in history. We also enjoyed the fish and chips by The Better Batter -- definitely a must try!

One of the most photogenic places in the South Island - plenty of activities available - although most are strictly weather dependant (i.e. helicopter flights) but it's also a nice place to relax - there's a reasonable range of restaurants and cafes, a very well stocked supermarket and enough perfect camera angles to fill a book! We experienced a glorious sunset on the first night at Tekapo but woke the next day to find five inches of snow on the ground and both roads in and out of the village closed which was a bit concerning. By midday it had stopped snowing and the sun came out to reveal a veritable winter wonderland scene - not bad for spring!

The scenery was just magical.

The scenery was just magical. Stunning colours, peaceful landscapes. The dark skies were incredible down at the church of the Good Shepherd. My camera picked up an aurora. Magnificent. Trip up Mt John was really worth it. Amazing views but hold onto your hats! One thing I disliked was that I have food allergies and most places were not prepared to assist me. I found it quite distressing. TLV was the exception and the meal, especially created for me was delicious.

Property was super clean and the facilities were perfect. Bathroom was awesome! Ceiling shutter for in room stargazing was next level! Even though it was a super cool night on our stay the rooms temperature was warm. Breakfast in the morning was great too! All the staff that were working during our stay were very kind and attentive. We didn’t get a perfectly clear night for stargazing, but it was still amazing. Lake tekapo is clearly the place for it, and galaxy boutique hotel is definitely the place to stay!

It is a lovely experience to stay in Clearview -Lake Tekapo. It is quiet. The view from our bedroom and living room in our bed or sofa is like a painting or a picture- so so beautiful. We can find the peace in such a quiet environment. It is good for those self driving people. Not worries for backpackers, the front desk staff is fantastic and helpful. They help to fetch our big luggages from the office to the accommodation. When checking out, they help us again to send us to the intercity bus.
