Incredible place, amazing hosts. After 3 weeks of traveling in New Zealand staying a night or two at many nice places, our stay at Kaituna Homestay was our TOP choice! First, this incredible home is located in a heaven of peaceful nature. We could enjoy the amazing garden and walks, the jacuzzi outside, and the cute animals all around. The room is huge and super comfortable, like a hotel suite. Second, Sharon and John are wonderful and caring hosts, we felt like at home. The breakfast was delicious and better than in restaurants. We left resourced and happy with incredible memories. We will definitely come again, and stay longer.

Beautiful setting... super clean, homey, and welcoming. The beds were comfortable, several different options for pillows (firm, soft, high, low.) My kids loved the bathtub. Shower water was hot with excellent pressure. We enjoyed our stay immensely and would have stayed longer, but it was all booked up! Marie is such a sweet person---brought us the most amazing cookies (Rob bakes them,) took the kids out into the paddock to feed the sheep, was very friendly and welcoming. The location is great---just a few minutes' drive from Little River, where there are a few small shops, and not too far off the main road. Plenty to see and do in the area, although you'll want to just stay on the porch and enjoy the view!

Best Motel we had in NZ. Very nice people, beautiful big room with a stunning view. Perfectly equipped and all perfectly clean and very modern. Akaroa is a must have when traveling NZ and the Motel is centrally located. We‘ll come back.

Very comfortable apartment. It had everything we needed, was spotlessly clean, and the view right across the waterfront is amazing. Akaroa has a lovely community feel, restaurants, supermarket and shops are within walking distance. Our suggestion is to arrive in daylight as the drive into Akaroa is beautiful. We had booked for only one night but had to stay for three due to a storm and flooded roads, our host Jackie was exceptionally kind to us during that time.
