The property is amazing, set in a secluded valley. The hosts were very welcoming, the room spacious and beautifully furnished as is the rest of the house. The bed was comfortable and everything you needed in the ensuite room provided. Plan to stay more than the one night we had available to us, you won't be disappointed.

If you are in the area, then make sure you stay at Paheke Lodge. It's a wonderful heritage property with loads of character and a beautiful garden. The owners are really helpful and friendly, and provide a fabulous freshly made healthy breakfast. The stewed plums, picked from the garden, are just amazing. You won't regret staying here.

Terrific location in Kaikohe on the main street. Easy to find and run by a wonderful manager - Mihi. Nothing was too much trouble and she made us feel very welcome. There were secure facilities for our car and bikes (we were doing the Twin Coast Cycle trail).

We had a wonderful stay! The instructions to the house were great, and made it easy to find the house. The room and bathroom were great, the bed was super comfy. We spent the evening chatting with the owners and other guest at their lovely fireplace. The next morning, breakfast was a feast, and we also got to see a glimpse of the wonderful property. Overall, we cannot recommend this place more, if you are exploring this region! The only thing we didn't like was that we had only one night to spend here, which was driven by our own schedule. Thank you again for the wonderful stay!

It is really a little secluded and though so close to the main street and thus to downtown Kerikeri. You have your own parking right in front of the cabin, which makes it so comfortable to pack and unpack without limitation. Great to have a kitchen and all necessities around. You couldn't really ask for more. Sarah, the host, is absolutely amazing as she tries to help in every way, whether it's for a trip to do or for dinner/lunch possibilities. The one she suggested was amazing and due to my short stay, I couldn't try all of them.

The views from the room were amazing! We were living in the tree tops! The room was spotlessly clean and comfortable with a great shower room. The kitchen area was well-equipped and we were able to make our breakfast at our leisure and to sit looking at another amazing view. We had a wonderful stay with Richard and are already booked to return.

Just 10 minutes' walk from the Kerikeri River and set amongst gardens, the peaceful Colonial House Motel boasts free unlimited WiFi, Netflix and 50+ TV channels and a saltwater pool.
