HungaryVery pretty aesthetic of the place. I felt like I was in a cottage core style magazine. Everything was clean, the little flower garden in between the rooms/kitchen/bathroom is absolutely lovely, there is wifi, there is a TV, books to enjoy, a very nice kitchen, the bathrooms were the kind you enjoy having a shower in. There was noone else staying the night we went so it was very very nice but it would have been lovely anyway. There is also a very cute friendly cat called Taco, which was just the cherry on top. One of my favourite stays in NZ so far.

RussiaIt was an incredible time in a very beautiful and serene place. The host was so attentive and helpful, while also allowing us absolute privacy.
All the amenities were top of the line and very well thought out. Even though it was a higher cost per night we still felt like it was great value for money. After arriving we instantly changed our plans to book another night.
Would 100% recommend this place to couples and people who want a destination holiday.

Opononi and Omapere are two small seaside towns within a 5km stretch of the west coast of Northland, near the mouth of the Hokianga harbour. The scenery is stunning, but the accommodation and eating options are fairly limited.

I've used this accomodation many times.
I've used this accomodation many times. It's easy to book and is at a reasonable price. I know you need to book early or in advance IN THE HOLIDAYS and when events are on. I booked online from the opononi Pub once. I was lucky to get a room that was available at the time. That's why booking on line is just as good as ringing up. Ownership is changing in July I hope the new owners can maintain the previous owners standards. Always willing to support the accommodation.

We drove to the carpark & walked out to the Point.
We drove to the carpark & walked out to the Point. Lovely views. Spectacular Sand dunes. It was a stop over of 2 days so we could go & play GOLF. RAWENE. Easy to get around Opononi. We had 1 dinner at night at Sands Hotel. Very nice . Awesome staff. Went & had a meal & drink at Opononi Hotel. Staff lovely & helpful.

Rugged, natural, quiet & uncluttered beauty on the west coast.
You don’t go to Opononi/Omapere to shop, its the place to go when you want to find peace, harmony & spirituality.
If you want to get away to relax… this is the place to go!

Great spot, great views of the harbour where ever you stay.
Great spot, great views of the harbour where ever you stay. Nice restaurants, cafes and bars. Has a great little Four Square for shopping. Nearby is a great drive through the Waipoua Forest, visit the great Kauri tree Tane Mahuta - Tane Mahuta is the guardian of the forest and birds.

The location is excellent, beach is straight across the road and beautiful scenic views of the water and sandhills. The staff are friendly and helpful. Good music playing at the hotel and enjoyed the pool tables. They have good selection of meals on the Menu and next door is a fish & chip shop. The rooms have their own modernised ensuite and are very clean with all commodities; fridge, TV, iron, hairdryer, jug, tea, coffee etc and the complimentary chocolate was a nice touch for each guest.

The first night we had a very tired room, terrible tiles, old bathroom, tiny shower, but the next day we asked for another room which was excellent! So I would recommend guests stay in the newer rooms with seaviews. Staff were great! the hotel was immaculate but let down badly by the old rooms at the back.

We had a lovely stay at Wisteria Way! Bruce and Teresa were absolutely lovely and gave us some great destinations to visit as it was our first time staying in Waimamaku/Opononi. It was only an overnight stay, but we will definitely stay again when visiting the area :)
