It was perfect for me as a solo traveler, although it is a 2 bedroom… the hosts left some lovely i think homemade pickles, cheese crackers and milk which was a very nice touch. It was quiet and very close to the beach.. about a 10-15 minute walk to the town… i loved it and would highly recommend this tiny home

Basic budget accommodation. Spacious, very clean , comfortable and convenient for our stay. Kitchen had everything we needed. Beds are comfortable and clean. It was a bit confusing finding the correct house as three were on the same driveway and the address on Booking.com was missing the A so I sat in front of the wrong house for 30 minutes waiting for someone to show up not knowing the owner was upstairs in the house at the end of the driveway. I asked several people on the driveway and the neighbours but no one seemed to know which house was the correct one. However it was a nice 2-bedroom place in a great location and very quiet. The bathroom had underfloor heating and a heated towel rack. I was a bit cold in the rest of the house and there was no central heating but the bed was extremely comfortable. There was no kitchen so we had to wash the dishes we used in the bathroom, but it is okay for an overnight stay.

Location is good.Access to all eateries is in easy walking distance.Close to beach,playground and shops for the grandchildren.Units are comfortable with everything one needs.Ground level and ample free parking right outside units makes easy unloading and loading of car.Affordable rates.

We really used Orewa as a base.

We really used Orewa as a base. To travel around the area, over to Whangaparāoa and up to Matakana and Omaha. The beachcomber was perfect for this. It was all we needed with lovely bed and nice kitchenette and a nice big tv to watch the rugby on. The bathroom was good with a good shower. All we needed and wanted.

Orewa is a small coastal town with a big heart.

Orewa is a small coastal town with a big heart. There are loads of little shops and restaurants. The Sunday market was such a lovely surprise. There are also some of the best breakfast cafes. Can walk and cycle along the Estuary onto the beach.

If you want to go to a place that makes you feel welcome,...

If you want to go to a place that makes you feel welcome, then it Orewa is that place. If you need to feel safe where there is a sence of community, where people are friendly and happy then its Orewa.It's a go to happy place for me when i need a break or a change, that feeds my body, tucks me in at night and gives me peace and calm. That charges my batteries, resets me and gets me back on the right path until the next time. It's also a spiritual place.

We wanted a quick getaway on a Friday night and didn't want to battle traffic. We live on the North Shore so booked a night at the Orewa Motor Lodge. The booking experience was quick and easy and the access instructions were clear. We were within easy walking distance to bars and restaurants and had an enjoyable evening without worrying about driving. The room was small but clean and well equipped and the bed was comfortable.

Room with 2 queen beds was spacious and beautiful view to golf course was added bonus. Complimentary tea/coffee, microwave oven. Play golf if you have time, clubs are available for hire

The Beachcomber is in a great location in Orewa...literally across the street from the beach. The room was large, clean and comfortable. The kitchen had everything we needed. The staff were very friendly and kind. Nice to be able to park our car within sight of our room. We really enjoyed our stay in Orewa.

We think that the location is excellent. You are a short walk from the main drag in Orewa with all the shops and Cafes. You are also a short walk (15 minutes) from the beautiful Orewa Beach. Also within a short drive you have a number of other beaches you can go to. The accommodation was private and quiet.
