This place is a real gem. It's neat, tidy, clean, well equipped and a relaxing place to stay for a night or two. It's off the main road on the far side of the river from Roxburgh which makes it very peaceful. We would stay again when next time in NZ.

Even though the house would be classified as older it was immaculately presented. As you can imagine how cold it is in Roxburgh in the middle of winter, we were met by a nice warm house, as the owners had turned the air conditioner on for us. The fire place was all set up with kindling, wood and fire lighters, so once we started that, there was no need for the air conditioner. The house was stocked with all the necessities for cooking as well as condiments such as salt, pepper, sugar etc. The coffee machine was a big hit. The bedrooms were large and the beds super comfortable and warm. The shower was large and had awesome pressure, plus shampoo, conditioner and body wash. Congratulations to the owners in presenting an excellent place to stay and if we ever come back to the area, we would always stay at this location. Lastly the location of the house was one street back from the main road , so it was super quiet, no traffic noise.

Initially I was sceptical because of the accommodation’s location, however, it was very safe and fresh, clean and super comfortable. Everything you could want for short term accommodation.

The cottage was spacious with separate bed, living & bath rooms. It has a minikitchen in the main cottage and a well appointed full kitchen in a detached building. The decor was very tasteful and calming. The location was peaceful and the hosts friendly. A great find for an overnight but even better for a couple of nights. Close to town and Roxburgh Gorge.

Loved our stay with Benger Garden Chalets. The Chalets were clean and we had everything we needed. The breakfast in the morning was a real bonus! Staff were very lovely and accomodating!

It was an amazing stay at Honey Cottage! We honestly loved every bit of it — the hot tub with the stunning mountain views, the cosy wooden stove that kept us warm, and all the thoughtful little touches like having mobile chargers ready for us. Every tiny detail was taken care of, and it truly made this the best part of our whole trip. The honey tasting was such a sweet experience and it honestly made me want to buy every type of honey you have — it was that good! We also had the most incredible night stargazing; it felt magical. We really regret not staying longer because we didn’t want to leave! This has been, without a doubt, the best stay we’ve had in our lifetime.
