What a beautiful place! Amazing view from the room. It's very quiet and peaceful to stay here, getting completely relaxed with a great bottle of wine. The room is extremely clean and spacious. The bed feels like heaven. The staff is so friendly and professional. Thank you so much for the amazing breakfast it was the best!

Fantastic position. Beautifully appointed - a true home from home. Every comfort had been thought of. The use of a sitting room was a great benefit. The views from Bea’s house are something to behold. Freshly cut flowers in the bedroom and bathroom were a lovely touch. Breakfast consisted of fresh fruit from Bea’s garden, homemade granola and jams, and scrambled eggs or freshly made corn fritters. In fact, Bea had thought of everything we might need to make our stay comfortable.

Well it was a real treat. We wanted a nice b and b with breakfast that was on the hill. It was even more of a pleasant surprise when we found our host, Jill, knew my parents from earlier days. Clean and tidy with opportunity to sit outside with a fantastic view of the new sports stadium. s

I used to live in Sumner, up on the hill. Loved it.

I used to live in Sumner, up on the hill. Loved it. The views are amazing, the sunrises and sunsets are spectacular, the beach is always changing and is wonderful for a walk, especially early and at sunset – and I simply love the place. The restaurant over the road from the Cave Rock Guesthouse is well worth a visit.

A lovely beach side town with all the amenities but not to...

A lovely beach side town with all the amenities but not to far from Christchurch CBD. Our winter visit still saw a good number of people enjoying the fantastic weather on the beach with bikes, dogs, pushchairs, joggers or just walking. A good selection of cafes and restaurants to choose from, some on the beachfront with great views and reasonable prices.
