We had a wonderful stay at this desert camp — everything was well organized and truly welcoming. The camp is beautiful, clean, and easy to reach. Even if you drive your own car, the staff will accompany you and make sure you arrive safely. What makes this place special is that it’s managed by an Omani Bedouin, which offers a genuine cultural exchange and a real sense of local hospitality — something rare among desert camps. There are many activities, both included and optional: the traditional welcome with tea and dates, baking bread over the fire, learning about the camels and gazelles that live there, and even a stop at a small local goat farm on the way. The staff were kind, attentive, and very responsive on social media. Overall, an authentic, comfortable, and memorable desert experience — highly recommended!

La Duna Desert Camp is perfect for anyone who wants to enjoy the desert but with a bit more comfort. We chose La Duna because instead of authentic bedouin tent since we wanted something cozy and relaxing, and it was exactly that. The camp has a great location: private and peaceful, but still easy to reach. The whole atmosphere is beautiful, warm, and a little romantic, especially in the evening. The food was delivered to our tent and it was absolutely delicious. We didn’t do any activities, but the team was so friendly and enthusiastic that we’re sure a 4x4 trip to the sand dunes with them would be amazing. A big highlight of this camp is the bathroom, it honestly feels like having your own mini spa in the middle of the desert. If you’d like a comfortable, charming, and quiet desert experience, we definitely recommend staying at La Duna Desert Camp.

The authentic look and feel of this experience was incredible. The host and his family were so welcoming and made us feel like we really experienced the desert. Unlike large camps where you feel like you are in a mass resort type setting this was so authentic, and we couldn’t recommend it more.

We had a wonderful time. We chose to spend one night here and one in a different kind of accommodation in Wahiba Sands and it was perfect that way, exploring different aspects and views of the desert. The drive is a bit adventurous, however we felt safe as we had a guide to reach the camp from Bidiyah who helped us when we got stuck with our car. The camp is truly on top of the dunes. If may not be the best one if you want to do lots of sand boarding as the individual dunes are not that high but the view is amazing. The food we had was one of the best in all our Oman trip!

Staff - The staff at the camp were extremely professional and helpful. I'd like to take the time to mention three members of staff who made the experience all the more memorable - Mr. Sharik, Mr. Rohit and Ms. Isha. Mr. Ali our wadi bashing guide was very sweet as well. Rooms - Our rooms were quite spacious and very clean. The only thing I would like to bring to attention was that the steps leading up to our room were in need of some repair. otherwise, the blankets, beds - excellent The food and the variety provided was just right.

propert has 3 different room types, tent, chalet( brick small detached room) and bigger room ( sultan tent). we stayed in chalet .. service and the level of amenities are good considering desert conditions. it is really clean and free from dust and sand. there is sand dune nearly be recommend to climb and watch sunrise. breakfast and dinner open buffet simple but delicious. the day we arrived was stormy and heavy rainy ( they say this happens last 25 yrs ago!). our experience of the camp was limited thus service was good.

Loved the sunset drive on the dunes.

Loved the sunset drive on the dunes. Dune bashing was fun and you can tell your driver what version of this you want - soft to fast ! Staff were friendly and accommodating. Make sure you book your seat at outdoor dining to avoid not getting a seat if the camp is full. Also book activities as soon as so you get your preferred time. Food was great - huge selection in the buffet and the musical entertainment was a great surprise !
