General Luna is the most touristy part of Siargao.
General Luna is the most touristy part of Siargao. Lots of stores, shops, restaurants around. Easily walkable, but also accessible by tricycle/tuktuk. It's a bit too busy for me as I prefer more quiet and peaceful spot for accomodation. We stayed in the General Luna area and was a bit surprised to see how much trash and dirty areas were in the area. We were told to visit Cloud 9 and its nice for surfing, but dirty area, dirty restaurants, and very dirty streets. We stayed for 4 days and 4 nights. It was enough if you just want to explore the nearby spots, and go island hopping. But if you plan to really do a good long staycation, 4 days is not enough. There is still a lot we were not able to do. We both love the vibe of General Luna and Siargao as a whole. Right in the centre of general luna but wasn't noisy at night as tucked away down a side street. Fridge stocked with beer and water which was nice. Balcony was also lovely. Comfy bed. Staff were all very friendly and accommodating, so was the lovely dog. Netflix on the TV was a huge plus. Bedside lamps and plugs on each side, always good. Good amount of storage and hangers.
