Great place to stay and also to dine in the restaurant. Our apartment was very large and was at the calm backaide with a great view on an old church tower. We were allowed to take our valuable bikes into our apartment (with the elevator no problem). We had dinner in the restaurant, which we also enjoyed very much, as well as the breakfast. Staff was very friendly and helpful.

It is the district's largest city, and it has a tremendous...

It is the district's largest city, and it has a tremendous history with the Ordenburg Bütow of the Teutonic Knights. Unless you speak Polish, there will be a tremendous language barrier. I do not remember running into anyone that could speak English or the original German of the area. The Ordenburg Bütow did have signs in English and often in German, which was nice. It is a nice quiet town, but it is not set up for outside tourism. The other guests at the hotel appeared to be Polish. The people are friendly enough and work with you to get over the language barrier that you will have if you do not speak Polish. I will probably return someday.

A small town with various attractions.

A small town with various attractions. The restaurants are all highly recommended and, unlike prices in Germany, very affordable. Several day trips can be easily made from here.

Bytów is a small Kashubian town with many attractions both...

Bytów is a small Kashubian town with many attractions both in and around the city. I highly recommend it for a weekend or a multi-day getaway. It's worth seeing the castle, the museum, the railway bridge, the mill route, dining at the castle restaurant and at Jaś Kowalski, and exploring the surrounding area.

A new look for the castle – I enjoy visiting places like this, so that's a big plus. Bytów is a small town, so you can easily stroll around and park your car safely. I recommend visiting Lake Jeleń. Restaurants vary, but everyone will find something to enjoy – although I recommend the restaurant at Ułan SPA.
