It was the most peaceful area. The pools were just dreamy. The room was designed really well, the bed was comfortable and the windows over looking the mountains were stunning. The food was delicious. We loved the touch of breakfast delivered in a basket. The baths and massages were incredible too.

The location is amazing for those that like quietness in the 'Serra d'Aire e Candeeiros'. It's a few km from 'Grutas de Alvalados' (and the other 'grutas') and there are plenty of tracks for those that like walking. It is also very near the pituresque village of 'Porto de Mós'.

Elena (or Helena) who works at the front desk is an amazing person! She is so lovely to talk to, and even did our laundry, wash+dry for just 4 euros. The building and rooms are clean and great value. The location is interesting for its proximity to some beautiful caves.

Central location, very clean, great atmosphere, good food in the restaurant/breakfast and awesome integration with the climbing center (i.e. being able to see the 30m wall from the windows in the room floors). Also, although not a review of the hotel itself but rather of the climbing center: loved the 30m wall as well as the other areas (bouldering, auto-belays, top-rope). It's beginner friendly and goes up to about 7a+/V7 (but there's also a Kilter board available if you want something harder).

The accommodation was absolutely great – a beautiful house, clean rooms, and a wonderful garden. With kids, it felt like a peaceful oasis. The hills around were lovely, and it was about a 30-minute drive to the sea. Communication with Tereza and the care from Daniela were just perfect. They also helped us a lot during a blackout when we ended up staying longer than planned and gave us a safe place to stay after our flight was cancelled. For that, I’m truly grateful. We’ll definitely come back one day.

We visited the Mira de Aire caves and loved them.

We visited the Mira de Aire caves and loved them. We had lunch at the Sabores da Carvalha restaurant. Good food and reasonably priced. We also went to the Pia do Urso Ecopark. It's a beautiful area, but the park is poorly maintained. Porto de Mós Castle is beautiful from the outside, but it's not worth paying to visit the interior.

A place with a very beautiful view. And it lacks nothing.

A place with a very beautiful view. And it lacks nothing. Well located and close to the wonders of the mountains, which are many for those who like to explore. Especially the caves of Santo António, Alvados and Mira de Aire.

Tranquility and quality.

Tranquility and quality. We had lunch and dinner once at the hotel, a delicious menu of snacks where the locally known rice blood sausage is a must. We also had the opportunity to visit the Cova Velha restaurant and the Viera Pizzeria, both with good regional cuisine options and good quality/price ratio.

The silence, the nature, the rooms, the swimming pool. Also the flexibility for a later checkout was really appreciated! I loved the basket breakfast by The Nest. Was such a nice way of avoiding the typical restaurant way. I would love to stay at the Emotional Hotel but keeping the basket breakfast 😀

Very nice hotel, well designed and we'll thought. Only 12 rooms so very quiet and located in a peaceful place, though very close to lots of various activities for kids or adults. We were there with our 3 children (10, 9 and 1 yo) and all enjoyed! we plan to come back the next time we visit Portugal!
