Super nice host, greeted us with night cap drinks, had homemade yogurt and cake prepared for breakfast. She let us use the washing machine and collected our clothes for us. The beds were very comfy, great pillows, towels, clean bathroom. Quiet neighborhood. We were arriving late and she confirmed via message that it was ok. Free and easy parking in front of the house. Overall great stay!

    We spent the day driving down from Lisbon and so didn't spend any time in the town of Carrapateira itself. But the next morning, we really enjoyed the various hiking trails and scenic overview spots accessible from Carrapateira via the perimeter road (E. da Praia), which starts with great views of and trails to Praia da Bordeira and then winds along the coast's edge for about 10 km. Great views and trails.

    Nice little town, small grocery store that had better than expected selection and good prices. Municipal market that’s open every day. One vender who sells his local produce. Everything else can be bought in Vila do Bispo. Walking distance to the fantastic coast.

    Bordeira is one of the top beach in the world. We are coming to this region since 40 years and we have never enough . Sitio do forno is a simply spectacular position. Excellent basic Portuguese food

    It is a small village in the end of continent, we just love...

    It is a small village in the end of continent, we just love that this IS NOT hot touristic spot. Yes, you'll find find restaurants in and around, wide beach with small bar on it. But in the nigth there is only sound of wind and ocean, and that what we need on holidays!

    Lovely area and locals are nice and helpful. Easy to get around and there are some reasonable basic services available such as guesthouses, restaurants. I didn’t see a gas station, ATM or grocery market so plan to stop elsewhere for those.

    Very cute small village in the middle of paradise.

    Very cute small village in the middle of paradise. Super spot for hikers and nature lovers. There is a minimarket and some restaurants open even in out of season times. When I am back to Algarve, I am definitely coming to Carrapateira again.

    Cozy place in Carrapateira while hiking the rota vicentina. There is a shortcut from the Lodge to the village center so it's very easy to go out or to the supermarket. Carrapateira is a magic small village! Definitely recommend staying here. Free laundry, tea, coffee available, and very well equipped kitchen. I wish the lady who manages the check ins was a bit friendlier, she doesn't speak much english and although a bit grumpy she was always available to help.

    Very spacious and clean. Cute view of the little town of Carrapateira. About 20 minutes waking from a beautiful sand-dune beach. Would definitely return to work from here for a few weeks

    I loved the location - close to the centre of Carrapateira, but also directly at the dunes. Very comfortable beds. It was already chilly, so the heater in the room was a real treat.
