Everything about my stay was exceptional. The staff were super friendly and helpful, the hotel is beautiful, The breakfast was truly delicious and had something for everyone. I ordered to of the specials and both were amazing. I will definitely be heading back for a longer stay! highly recommend!

Absolutely loved our stay – felt like a second home! Everything was spotless, cozy, and welcoming—truly no complaints. From the moment we arrived, it just felt right. We were greeted with a bottle of wine, which was the perfect way to kick off the holiday after a flight. We’d asked for a couple of extra duvets since we're used to sleeping under separate ones—didn’t end up needing them, but the staff handled the request quickly and without fuss. Special shoutout to Filipe—what a legend! From the first moment, he showed us around and instantly felt more like a friend than a hotel staff member. He went above and beyond, even making us personalized lists of restaurants and places to check out. We didn’t make it to all of them, so we’re already saving some spots for next time. Hope to see him again on our next visit! The room had everything: bathrobes, slippers, ironing board with iron, coffee machine, teapot, hairdryer—you name it. Our room was cleaned daily with fresh towels, and honestly, that made it feel like a 5-star experience. Nothing beats coming back to a spotless room after a long day out exploring. And the cherry on top - the hotel has the coziest rooftop ever—perfect for sipping wine, reading a book, or just soaking in the sun. Loads of comfy seating and sunbeds.

Location was great 👍 The Hotel was superb & extremely clean.It was my second stop there within a week. The first time the room location was disappointing overlooking a derelict building but the room this time had a fantastic view of the river/sea. The breakfast was excellent & the staff were very polite.

Faro is the picturesque capital of the Algarve region, offering colourful streets and buildings, Moorish influence, and typical Portuguese charm. It is encompassed by the lagoon of Ria Formosa Natural Park, and offers wide beaches, a laid-back atmosphere, and a vibrant nightlife.

Occupied by Phoenicians and Carthaginians, and once an important Roman harbour and Moorish culture capital, it was almost flattened by the 1755 earthquake.     It is quiet and picturesque. The beach surprised us as it was very good, empty and big and clean. Good variety of places to eat and drink. Easy to get transport such as bus and taxi to other parts of the Algarve. Friendly people We wanted a few relaxing days in warm weather and it was perfect for that.

    Small town, quiet and friendly, not that much to do around...

    Small town, quiet and friendly, not that much to do around but has some really nice beaches around. Nice for people looking for a quiet vacation and a less crowded/touristic experience. There's plenty tour boats and ferrys that can be taken from the marina and it's also only 40 mins away by bus from Albufeirra, a bigger city where you have even more options of boat tours and so on.

    Faro is wonderful.

    Faro is wonderful. The Rio Formosa is the Jewel in the Crown. A word of caution, the streets are almost all cobbled and very polished , so be careful of footware. Take the train up to Tavira and Olhao, ideal for a day out.

    Faro was a welcome change from the intense crowds in Lisbon and Porto. It was also an easy pedestrian walking area with lots of shops and restaurants, though, for a weekend, many were closed. But Pigs and Cows Restaurante, GO! SO good. We were also near the old city which was pleasant to stroll through. And NO HILLS!

    Only 2 days there. Easy to walk everywhere. Cathedral looks nothing from the outside, but when you go in - Wow! (better than Porto or Lisbon). Only time to sample one restaurant - Tasco do Ricky - very good. Took the ferry to Ilha Deserta (£26 for 3 return) for 1.5hrs on the water - great value, especially as dolphins appeared on our return trip - fabulous! Booked taxi for the airport for 0730 - Silvia was there right on time - excellent service.

    We came to Portugal for our honeymoon. Great location, welcoming and helpful staff. comfortable beds. Compared to the 2 other hotels we have stayed at on this trip, this hotel was the best. Very delicious breakfast and atmosphere. We stayed at this hotel at the start of our trip, and we liked the hotel that much that we came back for our last night. The best value for money.

    Perfect location, located on a small and quiet street in center of Faro, closed to everything( Train, bus station, restaurants etc). Madam Maddalena is very kind and easy to communicate. We got 2 hours earlier check-in. Feel so sweet to have small cookies in room. The stay there is more like 5 star hotel. We even extend one night more and will come back in the future.

    A small hostel situated directly on the beach. Just ten steps away and you have the sea! Its a short 10 minute drive to the airport and then you can take the ferry from the beach into the Faro downtown for 2.30 euros one way. The beach is quiet at night and even though the hostel was full it was not too loud at night. It was fairly clean and a good deal for the money.
