The room was exactly as the photos shown, all very clean, the bed was really comfortable! There is a restaurant across the road that serves breakfast, lunch and dinner at very good prices and portions. The place in itself is very well located. The staff is amazing, all extremely helpful!

    Loriga is a gorgeous town, not unlike many in the area of the Serra da Estrela. What sets it apart is a great river beach (praia fluvial); its closeness to the Parque da Serra da Estrela, an easy 20-minute drive; and it's less busy than other more popular towns. Driving through Loriga's streets can be a daunting experience if you are not used to very narrow streets and steep slopes. If you plan on staying try to find lodging close to the main road.

Nestled in a stunning valley, it's often referred to as the "Portuguese Switzerland" because of its breathtaking mountain views and charming atmosphere. The village has so much to offer—crystal-clear natural pools, perfect for a refreshing swim in the summer, and scenic hiking trails that showcase the beauty of the region year-round. Walking through Loriga's narrow streets, you can feel its rich history and unique character. The traditional stone houses and friendly locals make it feel like stepping back in time.
