This place is the best experience we had in Portugal. Our daughter loved every minute. A beautiful place with a great view, an awesome swimming pool, animals, lovely staff, and a garden with fresh vegetables which we were lucky enough to enjoy.

    Monchique is a beautiful region, be sure to travel all around it to see all the beautiful sites and areas. Fresh air in the mountains and a very peaceful area. A great place to hike and take in the views. Don’t forget to visit the convent and take a stroll through the old village. The thermal spa resort is a nice visit as well. If you travel west you will find some little towns with amazing views.

    Monchique Springs is a small village a few minute drive from Monchique town. It's much nicer than the town, which seems quite neglected. In contrast Monchique Spa is green, beautiful, well kept and much more interesting with an air of a spa in Switzerland, or England. A must to see!

    Monchique is a lovely little town in the mountains , we went to the Spa and that was so relaxing . We sat in the town square and had a glass of wine . Quiet and peaceful We are in a local restaurant which was delicious and went to the Mercado too !!!

    A beautiful Roman Spa town set high in the hills above the Algarve; the hotel we stayed in was part of the spa which has been bought by an ambitious hotelier who has yet to improve all the buildings to a satisfactory standard. The signage at the hotel is woeful we spent the first two hours of our visit completely lost. If the entrance to the guest parking is down the side of a factory which it is, tell people rather than leave them driving around confused

    Monchique is a pretty little town in the mountains, with quiet cobbled streets, boutique shops and wonderful cafes. The new Velochique Cafe is amazing. The area is dotted with incredible trails for walking and cycling and is a great place to stay for a quiet night but still close enough to the Algarve to visit during the day. Silves is a wonderful nearby historic town with an 11th century fort and more wonderful shops and restaurants. Monchique has a good mid sized supermarket that caters for all your needs too. And there are some good local restuarants.

    this is an extraordinary small boutique though older hotel, 10 km south of Monchique. It is in the complex with the thermal spa, wonderful outdoor bar, outdoor courtyard, and I have a boy lush Forest did ravine and the breakfast were incredibly full on with scrambled eggs, bacon, fruit toast cereal yogurt coffee etc. the staff is exceptionally accommodating, the occasionally only spoke Portuguese. The grounds of the hotels themselves are small but lush, with fish pond, its own swimming pool, outdoor patios etc. we absolutely loved it here

    The hotel is really big and the facilities are very good. The breakfast is amazing, with lots of options and good gluten free options as well. The staff is always ready to help. We loved our room, the bed was really good and the sofa for the children was good too. The pool are great, the indoor heated pool was a must, as was the pool table.

    A lovely traditional house in the cute little town Monchique. I visited during the low season, so I was alone there, but there are several rooms in the same building with shared space downstairs. It is only a couple of steps from the little central square and very close to the bus station. Everything was clean and comfortable.

    The location of the hotel, on a hillside overlooking the beautiful valley below, surrounded by ancient cork trees, is so restful we extended our stay. The staff are lovely - especially the breakfast crew. Rooms are simple, clean and functional and have wonderful views.

    The location was great. On arrival at the nice modern hotel we were told that we would have to stay in the old annexe as we had our dog with us. A delicious breakfast supervised by a very pleasant young waiter.
