Hotel states that it has an excellent restaurant that provides the best gastronomic proposals and wine in the region. It does not state that the restaurant is closed. This is only revealed on arrival. Very disappointing for such an architecturally fine hotel that could be so good. We made absolutely the right choice! A very attractive hotel fashioned from an old granite house and converted into a quietly stylish jewel of a place to stay in the hills close to Porto and the Douro valley. The staff were friendly and extremely helpful. We would happily stay there again but next time we would hire a car.
