Every detail was perfect. There were Portugal cosmetics in the bathroom, local products such as bolo levedo, ananases, pastel de nata at the breakfast. There was an option to order pancakes, omelletes at the breakfast, very tasty coffee. Perfect, beautiful design of the rooms. Travel guides to take at the reception. Everybody was super-friendly and super-helpful. Location in the city centre, possible to walk by foot everywhere, close to the ocean. The hotel is really great place to stay while exploring the island. I would recommend to everyone and I’d love to come back here again!

This accommodation was just perfect. The people working here were so friendly and helpful, this hotel was so beautiful, the room was super clean spacious, and even though you are really close to the highway, all you could hear were the birds singing. We could use the jacuzzi for free and there was even a sauna you could use. We only stayed for one night but it was the perfect last day for us in the Azores. Breakfast was also very nice, a lot of options. We could take a look at the horses of the owner. And wow what a beautiful place for the horses! Sadly we did not got time to take a lesson.

Amazing staff, great location, and perfect breakfast!! This was one of the best hotel experiences I had in many years. They even prepared us small lunch boxes for our early flight <3 it was just lovely. If I go back, I would definitely stay here again!!

    I would recommend the island of Sao Miguel and the city of Ponta Delgada to everyone. This island is a hidden gem not known by most American's. I have been on every continent but this is a very special place and one of the most beautiful places I have ever seen!

    It's a very pleasant city, very clean, and has many great cafes and restaurants. It's wonderful to simply stroll through the streets and is a good base for traveling in Sao Miguel and taking excursions on the island. I really liked this city.

    Biggest town on the island. You will find... - many good restaurants - lovely streets with lots of shops - a huge shopping center close to the main area - a harbour with many shops and a decent variety of activities you can choose from like whale/dolphin watching etc. If you drive by car through Ponta Delgada you should be used to "narrow surroundings". But no worries, everybody with enough driving experience should not have a problem in Ponta Delgada.

    There were too many tourists (in August) Not as many as in Lisbon, but still more than I would have liked. Getting dinner without a reservation was difficult. If driving, the streets are very narrow, mostly one way with parked cars, and quite difficult to negotiate. it's vital to tuck in your side mirror when parking, or it will be hit by a passing car. Walking is also an adventure as many sidewalks are less than one person wide. Restaurant and bar opening days and times seem to be arbitrary. We found one good bar the first night but it was closed every time we tried to go back.

    We had a great room on the 6th floor (the highest floor) overlooking the marina. The room was always thoroughly cleaned, and all the staff were very friendly and had a good command of English. The staff were all wonderful.

    The city was nice especially the city center, also the botanical gardens were really amazing. However we came especialy to discover the island Sao Miguel that is absolutely fabulous. For traveling on the island we used rented car - without the car I can´t imagine to be that smooth as it was with car.

    The stay in Casa dos Arcos made my experience at the Azores even more amazing then the island itself. The owner is such a lovely person and you feel immediately welcome (home) in a familiar environment. The room was really nice with air-conditioning and everything else you need for a relaxing time after adventurous days. The location is perfect, you have a bakery right next door and you are in 5 min in the center. I hope I will be able to return and of course I'd book with Pilar, Thank you so much and all the best. David

    Best place I've ever stayed. Beyond the super confortable bed, sparkling clean room and delicious breakfast full of local produce, the hosts Pedro, Maria and Trincas (the dog) were absolutely amazing. You can just stay in your room, but if you have time to sit with Pedro and hear his stories it would make the whole experience of visiting the Azores much more exciting. We honestly missed them when we left and moved to another hotel in another area. Location is also great, close to everything, but in a quiet road.

    highly recommended this hotel with so nice stuff who are so friendly. the location is so good since it is in the old town of the ponta Delgada and close to the port. Moreover, you will be able to find lots of restaurants around. from 7:30 to 10:30 they are serving a good breakfast with local bread dont forgot to ask towel for beach and Dona Beija (Thermal Pool) if you are willing to go.

    We spent here 2 nights and everything was great - room and bathroom were really nice and clean, bed was so comfortable, the host (greetings for Mr Carlos) was so kind and cheerful. We didn't use the pool but it looked lovely. That was our stop during the honeymoon on Azores so we get extra surprise from the hotel :)

    The whole stay was really pleasant. Paulo picked us up from the airport and gave us very useful tips for trips in Azores, including bus lines and schedules. The accommodation was neat and clean, with fully equipped kitchen. Highly recommended.
