Precious hotel! beautiful interior and stunning garden with a pool area that can be used anytime you want. The staff is very friendly and the village of Silves is beautiful. There is enough parking space around the hotel. Breakfast was delicious☺️

Very high standard of furnishings, comfort and facilities . Excellent location with bars and restaurants close by. We ate in the restaurant below and had a beautiful meal and the breakfast which was included in the price was fantastic. Staff were attentive and friendly . Couldn’t fault our stay .

Everything was perfect, the house is very cute, clean, the outdoor terrace with the jacuzzi is perfect for a barbecue or just enjoying a drink with your friend. Also our host was amazing, she was very kind making sure we had everything we need. Highly recommend it and also Silves is a beautiful town, really close to all the nice beaches.

This place is outstanding.... it could not have been cleaner - even the toilet brush was absolutely pristine. Shampoo and gel in the bathroom. A really good quality hairdryer. The towels were of good quality... lovely and thick. There was an extension cord ready for plugging in chargers etc right next to the bed... didn't have to crawl around trying to find plugs. Plug for the bath was available so because I only have a shower at home, I was able to enjoy a bath. The location is quiet and close to town, with a great spot for parking on the property. The lady who checked us in was sweet, helpful and so kind. A request for a restaurant recommendation elicited a response from the host who responded immediately to every message and the lady who checked us in - she provided a business card. We went to the seafood restaurant suggested and it was beyond amazing!

This little hotel up the hill is a gem. Our room overlooked the pool with a big balcony. Beds were so cozy and had everything we required to make a meal. Resturant was lovely. Staff were amazing. Thank you Alex, Elizabeth, and Laura, you are all amazing. Loved Carvoeiro and hope to come back. The cave tour was totally Awesome 💖

A beautiful, mediaeval town with a castle and lots of local...

A beautiful, mediaeval town with a castle and lots of local history. Fantastic restaurants of all kinds, the local residents are exceptionally helpful and welcoming. Don't come here for a wild time, it is several miles from a beach but you can easily get there by car or taxi, and there are no night clubs here either. Just go for the culture, countryside and the wonderful food and wine. NB>>the castle and cathedral are up a very long and steep hill with slippery, cobbled narrow roads, so consider this if you are of restricted mobility.

I liked everything about this town.

I liked everything about this town. There was a lot of lovely restaurants also. The river walk is wonderful and great to see the local people out enjoying themselves. Musaika restaurant has marvellous food and people lovely. Traditional Fado singer and musicians on Sunday nights - superb. A lovely refined heritage town. The castle is also very beautiful with lovely gardens.

Silves is a small town with a river running through it that...

Silves is a small town with a river running through it that isn't too "Touristy". There are plenty of bars, restaurants, shops and cafes. The cathederal and the Castle are worh a visit and the Medieval festival was jolly! Beaches are an easy drive away Its great if you're looking for a quieter holiday but still with enough variety of places to eat to keep you going for a week or two!

Loads of interesting history and some amazing locations to visit. Everywhere was walking distance, although some may find some of the inclines a little challenging. Ubers are plenty, cheap and the drivers are very professional and friendly. Indeed everyone there was, in my experience, friendly and welcoming and very helpful. I always felt very welcome and at ease. The restaurants and bars were great - the food and drink (especially the rose wine and port), was exceptional. Just one word of warning - the mosquitoes (certainly in April) were voracious and vicious. Take some repellant with you, along with your favourite antihistamine if you are sensitive to insect bites.

Silves is a pretty and traditional Portugeese town with history and architecture and facilities for the tourist. It is a good place to visit. The deserted and boarded up trainstation looks like something out of an old western. Taking the train in the Algarve is great, but sad that the people let their trainstations decay. This is an otherwise great inroad to Silves but two kilometers from town. A geographical oddity.

I am spending three months in Portugal, travelling around, and Silves is one of my favourite finds. I loved all the storks and their nests, the castle on the top of the hill, and the abundance of nature. Our favourite restaurant was Cafe Ingles near the castle where we had a late dinner. There is a coffee shop, Ana & Joana, in a corner by the castle, which served amazing upside down orange cake. The owner was very kind and accommodating and made the visit memorable. We walked most of the time and found it easy to get around. When we were looking for the museum, I stepped into an art shop and the owner came out on the street to point me in the right direction.

I have stayed here many times going back many years. The place hasn't really changed at all in that time which is good and bad. However, the good outweighs the bad:- Ample parking Great views from back of hotel (which includes bar and breakfast areas) to the town and Castle Very well kept gardens. Good pool and lounging area. Located out of town but it's only a short walk over the bridge. Prices in low season can be incredibly cheap and the price includes breakfast which is quite a good one.

Wonderful inn, especially for those looking for a quiet getaway in the Algarve while still being close to the beach and 10 minutes away (by car) from the city of Silves. The family that owns it is very nice and helpful (they recommended some great places to visit as well as restaurants) and the house itself is beautiful. Breakfast was very good as well. If we ever travel back to the region we'lll defintely book here again!

We had a great time in our week here, It's situated 5 mins drive outside Silves with its excellent castle and numerous eating places. The pool is large and suited our daughter perfectly with the added bonus of inflatables. The kitchen was very well equipped and had a large fridge freezer and ample space. Really enjoyed watching the oranges being picked. We would love to return.
