This was by far one of the loveliest places I've ever stayed at. You notice in every corner that the owner really cares about the guests. Only stayed for one night while I was walking the Caminho Minhoto Ribeiro and totally loved it!

The place is wonderful and the bottle of wine and the charcuterie plate on arrival was a very nice touch. This is a great place to spend quite a few days.

The house is completely new, fully equipped, Anna serves full breakfast daily. The welcome pack of groceries she prepared was incredible from her own land. Moreover, we were allowed to help ourselves and pick up whatever we needed , so we have been consuming fresh and ecological veggies all our holidays. All the valley was celebrating their FERIAS, and we were able to meet their customs and traditions. People from the village were really kind and helpful, special mention to Hannibal and his family, he made us feel at home. All mornings we had a nice walk to the river and bath there. Our dog was happier than ever , she has been welcomed in every place and included. I highly recommend the place to rest and enjoy the most pure Portuguese traditions of the area. We did plenty of day trips to nearby villages , and visited their FERIAS too.

Sistelo is a magnificent, well-preserved stone village. It truly deserves a visit; however, there are many tourists "passing through" who do not respect the local population and the environment.

For those who appreciate nature tourism, Sistelo is top-notch. Ecovias (greenways), walkways, trails, landscapes, a river and its lagoons, restaurants. Getting around on foot. Staying in the area during your stay. Using it as a base for traveling to cities and car journeys, which are very tiring and time-consuming, is ideal. It's really best to go and stay.

We loved the scenery and the trails we hiked.

We loved the scenery and the trails we hiked. At the visitor center, we were impressed by the bar and the unbeatable views. We went with our dog, and he was very welcome everywhere we went.
