Our stay was truly wonderful. The cabin is beautifully decorated and very comfortable, the attention to detail in every corner is evident. The hot tub is a great way to unwind the day, breakfast was delicious. Would love to return one day, highly recommend.

We liked everything. The location is very nice and rural. Plenty of space in the house and the kitchen was brilliant. We enjoyed our stay a lot! The bed was so comfortable and the views spectacular.

I loved the book prepared for the guests, very well written, full of invaluable tips for visits and much more, including the history of the villa and Monique's family who lived there, a glimpse of life in Varzea many decades ago, an added value that it was shared with guests! We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Villa Varzea and Monique, although virtual, was always attentive and quick to respond to our messages.

Good location. Far away from any noise, it is in the nature, but close enough to see lots of interesting spots and areas in the island. You need a rented car to build up your many-day program here. The staff is outstanding, nice, and very supportive, smiling whole day, and all of them make the impression of enjoying their jobs. Massage (that they call a therapy) is a real therapy. Seeing sunsets from the private pool of our terrace was an unforgettable joy and experience. Had three days of challenging, but truly brain-washing and relaxing hiking in the subtropical nature, and lots of other funs the island offers.

The place is in an amazing location with a stunning view. Modern and very well kept. Nice surrounding. Hiking down to the village and beach gives a striking view. The natural pools at the coast are worth the visit. As the kitchen was being remodeled, we got excellent breakfast served in the room every morning, which we anyway would have preferred.

Varzea is a lovely little traditional village with many cows...

Varzea is a lovely little traditional village with many cows and birds, a windmill on the hill, and friendly locals. There is a small square outside the church, a couple of small cafe restaurants, and two small local stores with essentials and a coffee bar. There is a lovely miradouro less than 1km walk away with amazing sunset views. It is also well placed for the nearby town of Mosterios, which has a beach and wider selection of restaurants and facilities.
