This was our first time visiting Akagera National Park. We were torn between staying inside or outside the park. So very happy that we chose Ihema Lodges. This is a beautiful, small set of lodges (5 in total I believe) with luxury interior and superb terraces with exceptional views. The sunrise was incredible, overlooking the lake and Tanzania in the distance. The food was also great, meticulously prepared by a caring cook. The breakfast was healthy, balanced and different every day. We will come back again, hopefully with friends. Such a quiet, lovely place - a gem, perfect for couples, but also a great fit for families on their "weekend-away" from Kigali.

The family suite was perfect for our needs. It was big enough and had more than what we needed for our night’s stay between our two days in Akagera National Park. The staff was wonderful and took care of all of our needs and everyone we met there was just so inviting and a pleasure to meet!

It is situated closely to the national park entrance. With regard to the location, the object has solar energy. To charge your devices overnight, your host will provide you with a batterypack. The host is very nice and attentive. Breakfast according to the menu is served at the agreed time directly to the room. Parking is spacious and behind the gate of the property.

Absolutely the nicest stay we had in Rwanda. The hotel is located in a centre with local pub, billiards, supermarket, fast food with delicious barbecue and hairdresser. The garden is cozy with seating areas. The hosts, staff and people in the village were incredibly friendly and welcoming. Close to Akagera National Park, the hosts arranged a car and a guided tour. Good breakfast and well-functioning Internet. One of the employees washed and ironed my white shirt. Fantastic stay, highly recommended. Thanks to all the fine people at AKAGERA Neighbors.
