The location is unparalleled, with the resort situated on the island’s most famous and breathtaking beach. The turquoise waters and pristine white sands are a dream come true. We loved the complimentary activities like kayaking and stand-up paddleboarding (SUP) right on the beach—it was such a wonderful way to connect with the beauty of the Seychelles. Our son’s birthday celebration was truly special, thanks to the resort team’s thoughtfulness and attention to detail. They made the day extraordinary, and our family will treasure those memories forever. The pool is absolutely stunning—its design, cleanliness, and ambiance made it a favorite spot for us to relax during the day. Speaking of relaxation, I had the most amazing massage at the resort’s spa. It was pure bliss! To add to the indulgence, I visited the on-site hair salon and left feeling refreshed and pampered. The resort’s culinary offerings were top-notch, with every meal being a feast of fresh, local flavors presented with care and creativity. The seafood dishes were especially divine! A special thank-you goes to the Concierge team, who went above and beyond to ensure that every detail of our stay was perfect. Their attentiveness, professionalism, and genuine care made all the difference. Laila Resort isn’t just a place to stay—it’s a destination that defines luxury, relaxation, and impeccable service. The pictures reflect the reality. The guest house is newly built and the interior is quite new as well. Great value for money! We had planned most of our activities in advance, but the charming hosts helped us with the transfer from the airport upon arrival. Marte and Alfred can give good tips and offer a solution to most of the challenges one might have during their stay. The people of that wonderful country are very friendly and relaxed, but if there is an obstacle you should consider calling a friend for solving the issue. Renting a car is probably the most reasonable choice. We choose to hire the same driver that took us from the airport for that purpose. The nice and clean car, combined with the careful driving made our trips a real joy.

Mr. Chello the host is very welcoming and knows everything about the island(s). The villas are very complete and comfortable. We even had the pleasure to borrow his sea kayak, and went out on a little adventure. On the last day, mr. Chello surprised us with a very generous homemade traditional Seychelles meal. Amazing stay and we will definitely come again some day.

Unfortunately, my experience on Mahé was far from what I expected. The island simply didn’t leave a positive impression on me. Despite its natural beauty, I found very little that would make me want to return. The overall atmosphere didn’t suit me, and the destination felt overrated compared to many other places I’ve visited around the world. I honestly wouldn’t come back to Mahé, and I wouldn’t choose the Seychelles again as a travel destination.

Mahe is very busy so if you do not like a quiet getaway this Island is for you. There are various beaches to visit, museums and art galleries. Be mindful of public holidays, many places are closed. Saturdays are half day and Sundays they closed. Plan your stay and excursions so you are aware of what will be open and when. Food is great, visit the Boat House and Beach Shack at Beau Vallon.

A car is mandatory if you want to visit and see the beaches or other POI`s. But the roads are narrow and you drive on the left, so you have to be careful. The buses have a schedule, but they don't necessarily follow it, and you don`t want to wait for it on the side of the road, in the heat. If you're the all-inclusive type who stays in one place from start to finish, then forget about the car.

Mahé – A True Paradise Mahé captured our hearts from the very first moment. The island is a beautiful blend of lush green mountains, stunning beaches with crystal-clear waters, and a relaxed, welcoming atmosphere. We loved exploring its charming beaches like Anse Royale and Takamaka, snorkeling in warm waters, and discovering hidden local spots. Every corner felt like a postcard — vibrant, peaceful, and full of natural beauty. Mahé offered the perfect balance between adventure and pure relaxation, and made our honeymoon truly unforgettable. We can't wait to come back one day!

Its privacy yet right upon the beach. Ros A Mer provided all cooking facilities. The dining experierience, there were so many choices on the patio, inside or evan on the beach to the accompyment of the sound of the waves. From every angle was a beautiful view. We were received by the owners and Ermma. So helpful and welcoming. The air and was so good as was local cusine and we can say we left feeling healed and restored. The inspiration we carry with us. We loved the warm, friendly Seychellois welcome on arrival. The island is absolutely stunning, from the wild jungle and huge granite mountains to the pristine beaches and indescribably blue sea. The driving is crazy - the roads are not straight with lots of steep curves and bends, so drive carefully if you hire a car to explore the island, which is highly recommended. There are lots of hidden gems - we ate at Maria's Rock which was a fabulous experience, and we highly recommend eating at the Boat House on Beau Vallon beach and the Green House in Au Cap. Buy freshly caught fish from the fish sellers on the side of the road and cook your own - it is cheap and delicious. Food in general, whether you are eating out or buying from one of the local corner grocery stores, is very pricey, so beware! Visit the Botanical Gardens and grab a delicious pastry and ice cream from the Polish owned bakery just across the road and down from the Botanical Gardens entrance. Definitely visit the Mission Ruins in Venn's Town in the Morne Seychellois National Park, the views are breathtaking. Also visit the beach at Anse Soleil for the best sunsets.

His attention to detail is absolutely amazing and equally the amount of information he provides about places to visit, where and what to eat and how to get about the Seychelles. The Owners of Creole Cottage Homestay made me feel home and very welcome. This is a simple but cosy apartament, just ca 17-20 minutes walk from the AirPort - therefore for me it was a perfect place to stay for the first night in Seychelles. you can reach it walking from the AirPort - uphill and downhill, the Google Maps will help 🙂. you can chill in a small Garden with beautiful orchids.

I asked for an upgrade ahead and despite that the reception staff kept us when we arrived for an hour. Thanks the Seychelles supervisor lady Ms Victoria I guess who helped us. The suite on last floor was phenomenal though I thought as the pics that it will have open balcony but it has not. In general the hotel was nice and good location.
