Amazing hosts, super friendly and welcoming. The apartment, located at the rear of their home, is perfect and fully equipped with everything you need. It’s spotlessly clean and very comfortable. Just a 10min walk from the town centre, and only 5 minutes to both a supermarket and a beautiful lake.

We only stayed for a night, so we did not explore much. Alingsås is famous for its many cafés. Our hotel, the Grand. indicated a very nice café across from a very pleasant shop, all in a quiet courtyard. The locals were very friendly.

All staff in the shops and church.

All staff in the shops and church. Nice walk over bridges and through parks. A loop of 2.7 km. which we now repeated after our visit in October "Light in Alingsås". Good and easy website both Grand hotel and Alingsås Cozy Lennartssons Cafe' and Balders hage Nice with the Living manger outside Lands church. Beautiful wooden buildings mixed with stylish various high-rise buildings.

It is easy to walk to various cafes and to shops and...

It is easy to walk to various cafes and to shops and department stores. There are many shops in the Storken department store. Park areas are also easy to find. We ate at a Greek restaurant that had very good food. It tasted really good and we were so full. We had coffee at Ekstet's bakery/confectionery. Very good.

Lovely city, beautiful center with old historical wooden...

Lovely city, beautiful center with old historical wooden buildings. Lots of nature around, the lake with nice little beaches, forests and cycling opportunities. Don't miss Chef Yousef (food cart) if you want a delicious falafel near the train station. Walk around, have a coffee, buy ice cream in the square.

If you're looking for a comfortable, good value stay in Alingsås, then MittesRum is a really good choice. The bed was really comfortable and the bathroom and kitchen were well maintained and equipped. Mitte was very accommodating with my later check-in, and even had little candles waiting for me on arrival. Do note that you need to bring your bedlinen and towel, but this can also be prebooked for 100kr/person I believe.

Hotel is comfortable and quiet with modern clean rooms and very friendly staff. the temperature is controlled from the room itself, which I love and it has hard floors (also love). Bathroom is clean and modern and beds are very comfortable.

Extremely picturesque location. Beautiful and cozy interior. To be honest, I visited Alingsås only because of possibility to stay there. Bicycle friendly. Communicative owners.
