Good location, very comfortable accommodation, you have also an ice bar and restaurant. If you are coming to see the northern lights this is a perfect location, also other sites are very close. We had an unforgettable experience here.

A magical experience. We lived in a hut with reindeers just right beside! Shower rooms were also very clean and amenities are complete. Amazing hospitality as well. We get free entry to Sami and reindeer museum. Breakfast and dinner is also included which is super worth it. It’s also very near ice hotel. Love it and totally will recommend to anyone!!

The glass igloo is an amazing experience. The igloo itself is small but functional, with a lot of hangers and "secret hidings". It also has a tiny toilet behind the bed, so you don't have to go out to the main building in the middle of the night. The igloo is located in the middle of nowhere, so from the glass (and warmth) you can admire the sky and stars or, if you are lucky as we were, the northern lights. The owner was helpful and very nice Spacious common space where simple breakfast is served in the morning

Superb, quiet cabin, with a stunning view over a frozen river. Great location to relax and take in the nature. Short 15 mins drive from the airport, easily accessible with a rental car, with the cabin being both remote and actually not too far of a drive from a small supermarket etc. Extremely nice and helpful owners, with Cecilia being super warm and always at the ready to help, living on the same property. Very clean cabin, with a great high bed, incl.a remote-control adjustable matress and a huge panoramic window above the bed, for that perfectly relaxing viewing point for aurora. Highly recommendable !

We had an incredible stay at this camp. Everything was impeccable. The cabins are neat, communal facilities are great and the floating sauna at the end of every day was excellent for unwinding and socializing. We were also fortunate to observe a spectacular show of the northern lights on our last two nights - right at the camp. The staff made a point of alerting everyone around the camp and even assisted to take some photos of this memorable occurrence. I can without reservation recommend this location.

Beautiful village, supermarket and post office close to the...

Beautiful village, supermarket and post office close to the Icehotel. The oldest church in Sweden is located there. The torne river/ lake is stunning. The old homestead is a great restaurant located about 1km from the Icehotel. Food is delicious. Local people are very friendly and helpful.

Quiet little town surrounded by beautiful nature. There's a (Swedish price so expensive) grocery store for all your needs and a small tourist attractions area with reindeer feeding and petting, and reindeer meat burgers and hot lingon berry juice plus some basic information about the Saami and the historic wooden church that was built in town. And, of course, there is the Ice Hotel. Apart from that, there isn't much to see, but of course there are many activities that can be done out in nature in the area - dog and reindeer sledding, snowmobile tours, nordic skiing, trekking, ice fishing, watching the Northern Lights, ...

Jukkasjarvi was a nice place to stay, and we had a spectacular view of the Northern Lights on our second night there. Curiously, there did not seem much local understanding of how much tourists want to see them, or if there is, the village does not seem to offer much help. Just a few signs and tips on the best viewing locations would have helped enormously. We traipsed around in the very brightly lit village on an extremely cold night looking for a spot to see the lights, and could have easily missed them had we not stumbled across a place out of the artificial lights.

Jukkasjärvi is a charming village with lots to see.

Jukkasjärvi is a charming village with lots to see. Nutti Sami Siida is a must see. It is an open air place, not very big, but in a couple of hours you learn a lot about Sami culture and their relationship with reindeer. The staff is very friendly and their restaurant is beautiful; the food is excellent and reasonably priced.

That so much was preserved by the Ice hotel, with all these wonderful fine works of art. We had a very good dinner at the hotel restaurant, friendly staff. The breakfast was very good. The rooms were large and spacious and beautifully decorated.

Definitely recommend doing the classic tourist experiences: the exhibition at the ice hotel, the Sami museum where you can meet reindeer, look for the northern lights and go dog sledding. Loved them all even though I was a little skeptical before. We had a little trouble finding food that suited us but happened to end up at Annis Grill where there was good and well-made food of various kinds.
