Beautiful area and this place had it all. Tent and RV camping, houses to rent that were roomy and well thought out. Dorm rooms with shared baths/kitchens. So CLEAN! Friendly and helpful staff. If we are ever back to Sweden from the United States, we would stay here a much longer!

Our host was most hospitable and helpful. We had a misunderstanding about bed linens being included, which he graciously provided free of charge. We loved the space and would definitely stay again.

Otto's restaurant served fantastically nice and tasty food and the large breakfast buffet was great. The room was good but lacked a sink in the toilet and there was no TV, but we had a beautiful view from the room.

Is a fantastic light on the island when the sun rises/sets. Wonderful photogenic places. There is everything from budget options to luxury options when you want to eat or stay. (bonus tip - the little cart with Vietnamese food was fantastic budget food = very good value for money) Beautiful to just stroll around the island. Small narrow alleys and an open harbor, cliffs and barren pine forest and historic fortress.

Marstran is a lovely little island that is definitely worth...

Marstran is a lovely little island that is definitely worth a visit, a cozy little harbor town and fantastic nature around the island, but a fortress that has a beautiful view all the way around, but there is no need to stay for more than a few days (well, it's all seen!)

A wonderful little island in the Gothenburg archipelago. Beautiful wooden houses that have preserved their charm from the beginning of the 20th century. Small cozy shops and well-known restaurants. Fantastic hiking trails around the island. Wonderful view over the archipelago

Marstrand out of season is dead. We arrived around 4 and by the time we had checked in and settled in our rooms there were no restaurants left open on the island and we had to go back to the mainland to find something to eat in the supermarket. The caretaker at the hotel kindly said we could use the breakfast room to have "dinner". Overall he was very helpfull.

The location is great and there's a great view from the hotel's restaurant. The restaurant is pretty decent, nice terrace but the food menu is a bit limited.
