We mostly visited the surroundings, not the city.

We mostly visited the surroundings, not the city. Take the opportunity to go on the Skaraborg Cultural Route - visit Varnhem with the church, the monastery ruins and not least Katas grav museum, as well as the café. Visit Åsle Tå (experience museum, café/restaurant) Falköping. As usual, it is best done in the spring/summer half of the year when most things are open.

Just wandering around Skövde is nice.

Just wandering around Skövde is nice. I recommend Jenny Gelato's café with super delicious Italian ice cream. Helenesparken, with Skövde's oldest preserved buildings, is also recommended. And Boulognerskogen with beautiful nature, ponds and a landscaped lake is also well worth a visit

Good local transport.

Good local transport. Interesting Cultural Center (building + interior) and the church's modern, tasteful interior. Nice leisure area + chapel up on Billingen. Interesting city museum. Good starting point for bus trips to Skara and Hjo! We didn't have time for the adventure pool.

I retract my previous assessment and give the hotel a 7.5 considering that the staff was very friendly and approachable. However, the rooms were shabby and gave a feeling of the early 2000s that needed to be refreshed, a bit too much art deco in the dark......................

View from the room over a beautiful park. Close to the center. Specific shops with service-friendly staff. Good food at a restaurant on the square where we had dinner in the evening. Nice little town with a very beautiful church on the square.

We were in Billingen and cycled MTB which is really...

We were in Billingen and cycled MTB which is really recommended. We also visited the forest mill kingdom which was very appreciated. Incredibly beautiful nature in Billingen which we would love to visit again. We also shopped at ICA Kvantum, very nice store!

We stayed at that hotel before and it is always nice. Such friendly and helpful staff and dinner and breakfast are fabulous. The beds are comfy, the rooms are clean and quiet and they provide even conditioner and body lotion to the guests. It is located in the heart of the city and you can literally walk everywhere. Parking can be booked, but has to be paid. But it is worth it as there is no free parking in the whole city. We will surely be back.

The location of the hotel and in particular the restaurant is fantastic, on top of the hill, the night view feels like in the Amerian movies the view from California hills, amazing! Staff was very helpful and the room was clean and quite big

Everything is so fine. A bit far from the central station of Skovde but we have a lot of buses(even at late night). Also, a nice supermarket is near here so that you will not run out of food (beware that the supermarket will close at 20:00).
