Beautiful area. Need transport to get around as places are far apart. Not suitable for walking. Very easy to rent a scooter. Khanom is more suitable for tourists than Sichon beach which is very small. Sichon town is great. Khanom is very quiet.
Khanom is very quiet. Suitable only for people that don t want nightlife. Very few independent restaurants to eat in khanom apart from their resort. We stopped here on our return journey home to Bangkok airport. The nicest coastal road for driving for scenery between khanom and sichon. Pick a hotel around the south of the bay for less rubbish on the beach. Having an elevated view is lovely for dining experience. The beaches could be lovely but sadly all the beaches had too much rubbish and plastic. I’ve never seen it so bad in Thailand. That’s probably why it isn’t really touristy here. If you love beaches, and want to see how Samui was 50 years...
If you love beaches, and want to see how Samui was 50 years ago, as far as beaches go, that's the place. No construction (yet), very spaced, green mountains all around (with no houses on them), etc. and very close to Samui and Phangan (30 minutes drive from Donsak Pier)Guest review byMichalThailand - 10.0

The staff were always kind and willing to assist, making sure our stay was comfortable. The location is great - right on the beach...one couldn't be closer. Sadly, January month presents rough seas - quite unusual for Thailand. nevertheless, it did not distract from the beauty.
