Ao Luk is a very quiet area, no traffic, full of local fishermen's life and the most amazing views! Taking tours there feels like the real cultural experience as it is not touristic as other areas of Thailand, but beautifully located between Krabi and Phuket, the local people were so nice and welcoming, we felt like we found the perfect escape of tourists, while it was easy to get along as well. You will need a car\motorbike\taxi driver as not much is going on out :) But there are plenty of national parks, kayaking areas and a nice pier to take private tours. Cheaper than other places.
