The location is great. It is very convenient to walk to night market and the Thapae Gate. There was also 7-11s nearby. The lobby was ventilated and cool. The room on the first floor was well-ventilated and bright too. There were so many clothes hangers that you don’t have to worry about it. The luggage racks was very helpful and the most important thing was the staffs at the counter took care for the travels waiting in the lobby. They were so friendly and helpful. If you like to wander around the city, I highly recommend this place.

Staff were amazing. Location was also good with many places to eat nearby. Pool is small but pool area and bar are lovely. Very happy to reccomend to anyone going to Chiang mai .

Hotel Smile Lanna is a true oasis of tranquility. It’s not your typical five-star chain hotel, but instead, it offers a lot of intimacy, unique decor, and an exceptionally dedicated staff. The level of customer service here is outstanding—the team is always smiling, attentive, and genuinely engaged in making your stay special. One thing that might take a little getting used to is the pool water, which is salty and mineralized. Children, in particular, may need some time to adapt, and even for adults, the first dip can be a bit surprising. However, the pool itself is wonderful—no crowds, plenty of free sun loungers, and a relaxing atmosphere. The rooms, all featuring balconies, are well-designed and cleaned daily. A complimentary airport transfer is a great added convenience. Breakfast is generous and diverse, combining classic options with local flavors—there’s something for everyone. The hotel’s location is fantastic, right next to the Old Town and just steps away from a beautiful park entrance. We are truly grateful for a wonderful stay and would like to send our best regards to the entire hotel staff. We hope to return someday!

The staff was so helpful (beyond anything else due to their English skills!). They were always friendly and with good advice on the local area. On top of that the leftovers from breakfast were kept in a fridge so even after breakfast there were snacks, e.g. fruit and (highly recommend the) sticky rice wrapped in banana leaves. Also coffee, tea and water in glass bottles from the fridges were always accessible and for free.

Absolutely the most amazing stay we have had in Thailand so far (and I have veen here for more than 5 years now) 🤩 10/10!!! Great location - 15 minutes to the center of Old Town, very quiet, amazing and friendly staff, water at disposal any time and the breakfast!!! Omg!! The most tasty breakfast with great variety. Thank you and we will definitely be back when in Chiang Mai!
