Chaweng Noi Beach was one of my favorite spots on Koh Samui.
Chaweng Noi Beach was one of my favorite spots on Koh Samui. It’s incredibly beautiful — soft white sand, calm turquoise water, and a peaceful atmosphere that feels like a little escape from the busier parts of the island. I loved how quiet and relaxed it was, perfect for swimming or just lying under the sun. The view with the green hills around was stunning. That said, it’s not the best during low tide — the rocks and coral can make it tricky to get in the water. Also, there’s not much going on nearby in terms of shops or nightlife, and some areas can get a bit pricey because of the luxury resorts. I wouldn't go back. I was so disappointed by Koh Samui, I thought it was a nice place to go but aside from beautiful beaches and the views from the mountains, its really rough and run down. Chaweng itself is like Magaluf. The strip is awful. But if you like that then you'd probably like it but not being a drinker or a partier I really hated it. It is beautiful, wonderful, crystal clear, turquoise water. Do NOT let the reviews that say that this beach is "busy, loud, too crowded" deter you from coming. We were here in January-February during peak season and it was perfect! Never too crowded and never too empty. Perfect in my experience, I would come back. The resort also has a few private beaches which are clean and nice to relax on and are a great place to go snorkelling. The pool area was nice with an infinity pool and a regular pool which had plenty of sunbeds to relax on. The restaurant also deserves a mention. The main area for pubs and shopping in chaweng is 10 mins on a scooter which suited me. The room is large and has good air conditioning. It could use a more modern tv but other than that I was very happy with it. The staff are fantastic especially Spicy. He was extremely helpful and friendly.
