The Vibe: chilled out, great music played every evening. Meals on offer were great - pay by donation. The people were the main thing that made this place great. The sunsets over the sea were incredible.

Great hosts, great nature surroundings, great atmosphere, one feel like at home. A great experience. I can highly recommend the big house for those in search of peace, nature, simplicity. Thailand as it once was. Basic though, but it has to be so to perfectly fit in the surroundings.

The hardworking couple running this place, does everything they can to assure a stay living up to your expectations,, and they succeed. If you like quiet, relaxing enjoying a fruit smoothie and great view to sea, birds and jungle, this is it. There is a usually deserted beach two minutes walk from the guesthouse.

What an absolutely beautiful location! Super spacious huts with views over the ocean. Lots of hornbills to keep you entertained. Almost private beach just 5 minutes away. Lovely owners and great food. So peaceful and tranquil. We loved it so much we decided to stay longer.

The area was really cool and nice vibe from the place and the family. Even tho they island feels isolated there were several guest there. Very comfy great view, amazing corner by the bar amd beach where u can lay down an read, many books there. I really like the place. To get to the bungalow amd back to pier cost 100 baht. At pier there r people who can take u there amd from bungalow they arrange one for you. Also u can rent a bike from sunset bungalow which can be bought to the pier. I would not recommend to drive there tho unless your are doin it for year. Not everywhere is Asphalt, its hilly depending where u r goin and slippery. I was glad when I decided to walk instead the bike after seeing the roads.

I've known Koh Chang for a very long time.

I've known Koh Chang for a very long time. The island beauty, quiet and lack of distraction were always the best things about it. In recent years efforts to 'upgrade' are evident, with more roads making more of the island accessible and exploitable. The island is changing, but right now it's still a great escape from the modern chaos. Good food is easy to find, and for tourists still not really expensive.

Lovely island, you do need to enjoy walking.

Lovely island, you do need to enjoy walking. We rented scooters, which was wonderful. But that's a bit of a nuisance for walkers. Beautiful beaches with a wonderful sea. Not touristy at all yet; there are no ATMs, for example.

We were only there for three days.

We were only there for three days. Ao Tadeng beach is a natural paradise, but the bungalows are very basic and lack any comfort. The island is car-free, meaning goods are transported by motorcycle with sidecars. The locals work hard but are very helpful and friendly. The island is still largely untouched.

Koh Chang is perfect for nature lovers who want to and can...

Koh Chang is perfect for nature lovers who want to and can do without air-conditioned hotels. I'd say the word "deceleration" describes it perfectly. But you should also allow yourself some time; Koh Chang isn't something you can just pass through for two days.

If you're the only person on the boat wanting to go to Koh...

If you're the only person on the boat wanting to go to Koh Chang Noi, you'll automatically be dropped off on the neighboring island. Roads are bad. Islanders are friendly and helpful. Plenty of nature (jungle and mangroves). No mass tourism. Ideal for relaxing.
