I know Trang from my early days, some 34 years ago when I lived here... There are just a few parts of Thailand that can match the diversity and lush green surroundings - one would be Khao Lak. Trang has many limestone caves, temples and an abundance of waterfalls and islands to explore. I still love this place very much today, after such a long time and keep coming back with my family. Trang is a great place to get a taste for a real Thai city, especially before or after a stay out at the islands. After our trip out to the Koh Mook and Koh Libong, a stay in Trang provided a different, but equally interesting experience of city life in Trang. Beautiful landscapes surrounding city and the food scene is crazy and amazing (as with much of Thailand)! We had just one night here and a little under a day, which was a perfect amount of time for us to rent a scooter and explore a couple of cool sites in the area (Khao Chang Hai Cave, Weaving Center), visit the night markets, and experience the famous Trang dim sum breakfast. City with a lot of delicious food, a lot of charm landmarks. Beaches are not as beautiful as Krabi, Phang Nga or Phuket. However, its islands is quite remarkable. The lobby area is very impressive. Our room was very spacious, and all facilities worked as designed. We greatly appreciated the well-equipped and maintained gym and 40-meter resort pool. The front desk, carpark, and portering staff were all friendly and courteous. We did not eat in-house as we were unsure of what was available.
